Once the seal is broken then you can store it in a cool, dry area or the refrigerator, for best results, but must be used within 3-6 months. Placing your birdfeeder in a shaded area or partial sunlight would be better but not necessary. Depending on the outside temperature, you may need to replace the nectar as follows: In temperatures of 70º and below - change once a week, 70º-85º - change every 3 days, 85º-90º - change every other day, and 90º and above - change everyday.
