Permethrin SFR is only labeled for mosquito control on livestock premises. A better product for mosquito control outdoors is Talstar P and it can be IGR such as Tekko Pro to help sterilize the adults. It is our most popular product for mosquito control and would be a better option. It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and apply using any hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio where you are trying to provide relief. It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well, which is where the mosquitoes like to hang out. It should be applied every 30 days for optimum control.

You can use Permethrin SFR in a hose end sprayer as long as it can be calibrated to the required usage rate, though for fleas outside the rate is not set per gallon of water. Use the higher rate for fast knockdown and increased residual control. Dense or excessive (greater than 3 inches) lawn height and arid conditions may require higher volume application rates. Repeat application if necessary. Application in combination with compatible surfactants or wetting agents may enhance penetration. I am not familiar with the settings on the applicator to give you exact information of the settings. You may contact Chapin for further assistance to avoid doing the math.
