Pramitol 25E is labeled for use in the following areas: industrial sites, non-crop areas on farms, under asphalt, railroads, lumberyards, airports, recreational areas, and highway medians. It is not labeled for residential use.
Pramitol 25E is not specifically labeled for bamboo elimination. Any glyphosate product may or may not do the job right off to control the Bamboo. Since bamboo roots go so deep, you would need to apply either a product like Rodeo/Roundup QuikPro at the highest rates directly to the fresh cut stump of the bamboo after you cut it down level to the ground, or use a brush and stump killer undiluted directly on the fresh stump.
I do apologize but we do not carry any product or device to determine if your subcontractor applied the product or not. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer for details regarding this at 281-832-2500.
Pramitol 25E is a total vegetation killer and will eliminate anything growing where you spray it. This will keep anything new from growing in the treated areas for at least 1 year. Caution should be used during application as some leaching in the soil could occur and destroy nearby desirable vegetation and turf. Pramitol is mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution, up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush. The time it takes for plant death to occur will depend on how much product is absorbed through the root system, whether or not rainfall or irrigation occurs after application, and plant stress. It can take days to weeks before complete death is visible. Children should be kept out of the treated area during application but can safely return as soon as everything is fully dry. Please see the product label for complete application directions.

Pramitol 25E Herbicide is applied at the rate of 22 - 29.4 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. (7.5 - 10 gallons per Acre). Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions.
Once a soil sterilizer like Pramitol 25E has been applied there is not much you can do to reverse the effects other than to dig out any dirt that has the product in it and replace it with clean untreated soil and replant grass in those areas. Watering it likely pushed it into the soil more as this product is designed to be watered in after application to make it work appropriately and last a long time in the soil. Since its main function is to prevent new grasses and plants in general from coming up from the soil, its slower to work on anything already growing on the surface. It could cause the grass to die in a few days or in a week or two depending on how heavily it was applied. Since a lower use rate of 2oz per gallon was used it may not last as long as if higher rates were applied. You may want to contact a lawn company and see if they have any flowable charcoal they can come spray on the lawn to try and break down the chemical or if they feel it would do any good.
Pramitol 25E is a concentrated product that must be mixed with water and sprayed onto soil or plants you wish to control and where you want to create a long term barrier under concrete or asphalt. On average you will use at least 2-3 gallons of water per 1000 sq/ft of surface area you treat to make sure its adequately watered in and creating the thick barrier in the soil you are looking for. You can see the Pramitol 25E Product Label for use rates based on your needs.
No Pramitol 25E will not control woody vegetation such as small trees, brush, or woody vines. We do carry many products to use for stump treatments, including Fertilome Brush and Stump Killer and Crossbow Herbicide.
We would not recommend Pramitol 25E on its own to control poison ivy since Pramitol will not control woody vines or brush. You could add a glyphosate product such as Ranger Pro to control poison ivy. You can also browse our other Poison Ivy Control products here.
We are not awareof anything that would cause Pramitol 25E to damage pipes in the ground when used as directed. Unfortunately, we do not know where you can purchase the product locally, but we are able to ship it to Hawaii.
You could potentially use a hose-end sprayer to apply Pramitol 25E if you can correctly calibrate your sprayer and avoid any potential contact or runoff to any desirable plants. For susceptible perennial grasses, you would use 12 - 18 oz per 1,000 square feet in sufficient water. For hard-to-kill perennial weeds and grasses, you would use 22 - 29.4 oz. per 1,000 sq ft. It is most important to use the correct amount of herbicide for the area you are treating and then using sufficient water or rainfall to irrigate it into the soil than it is to use a specific amount per gallon of water. Keep in mind that Pramitol 25E is generally noncorrosive to equipment, but may cause swelling or more rapid deterioration of hoses and fittings containing natural rubber. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
Unfortunately, Pramitol 25E is not labeled to be used around any edibles. We would recommend a product like Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder . This would be labeled for use in a vegetable garden and would provide weed control for five months.
Although Pramitol 25E has considerable activity through foliar contact, much of its activity is through roots; therefore, its effectiveness is dependent on rainfall to move it into the root zone. Very dry soil conditions and lack of sufficient rainfall may result in poor weed control. Be sure to use the recommended amount of water per the product label.
When applying Pramitol 25E to a small area with backpack or pump-up sprayers with capacities of 1 - 3 gals., calibrate the sprayer so that 1 gal. of water covers 500 sq. ft. If green foliage is present, part or all of the water can be substituted with oil to provide burndown. This would be recommended instead of mixing with Roundup.
Pramitol 25E is not labeled for use around or near water wells. Per the product label, this chemical has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may results in groundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in contamination of drinking water or groundwater.
Pramitol 25E is not labeled to control Silverleaf Nightshade. GrazonNext HL is labeled for Silverleaf Nightshade (flowering stage) at 1.5 to 2.1 pints (24 to 34 fluid oz) product per acre.
Please review this article by the Texas A&M Extension Office on a suggested treatment program using GrazonNext and other herbicides.
