Precor Plus Fogger with IGR and most other aerosol sprays should be used within 2 year of purchase for best results. Stored in a cool dry place.
We recommend to use Precor Plus Fogger to treat the crawlspace for fleas. The Permethrin in Precor Plus Fogger immediately kills adult fleas, while Precor IGR prevents pre-adult fleas from creating new infestations of breeding, biting adults.
Yes, you can fog with Precor Plus Fogger with IGR in one room with pets in another area of the home.
If you treated with Precor Plus Foggers in a carpeted area, you want to leave that there so that it provides the residual effect for the two weeks. If a hardwood surface was done, it is safe to mop the area up after the product has had time to dry. Per the manufacturer, you do not have to wash the clothes that were exposed unless you are concerned about them.
Covering the furniture would prevent the fog from penetrating into any areas it could reach within the furniture so we would not recommend doing so. The main things to cover would be utensils or exposed food/food prep areas or wipe them down and clean them after. As long as the fogger is used correctly its safe to leave the furniture uncovered.

Precor Foggers would be used if a flea infestation indoors was very severe and you needed a quick knock down before going in to complete a full flea treatment. You can use products like Precor 2000 or Ultracide to spray carpets, rugs, hardwood, baseboards, and pet bedding for flea control. These are not outdoor products so you will want to use concentrated insecticides you mix with water to treat outdoor areas frequented by pets. Both of those products contain a residual insecticide that will continue to kill any fleas that touch the treated surfaces after its dry, along with an IGR to stop the reproductive cycle of the fleas. A thorough vacuuming should be performed throughout the entire home first, then apply an even light coating of the product to the infested surfaces, then vacuum daily or every other day for 14 days at which time you would complete a second treatment. You can see detailed info as well as other product options for flea treatments in our Flea Control Guide. We have info and how to videos that go over indoor, outdoor, and on pet treatments.
