Prodiamine 4SC Select is an herbicide formulated as a pre-emergence solution that renders residual and enduring control of many broadleaf weeds and grasses by preventing or inhibiting growth, maturation, and development of freshly germinated weeds. Weed control is most efficient and effective when this formula is activated by at least half an inch of irrigation or rainfall or shallow incorporation of water at least 1 to 2 inches before weed roots and seeds germinate and within 2 weeks or 14 days following application. This low sustaining formula may be applied for control of some grasses and weeds within season-long. Compares to Barricade 4L.

Prodiamine 4SC SELECT is a pre-emergence herbicide that, when properly applied, will control certain grass and broadleaf weeds in established turfgrasses:
The maximun amoung of Prodiamine 4SC SELECT that may be applied per year is given for each turfgrass species in the Annual Use Rates - Turfgrass section of product label.
For optimum weed control, Prodiamine 4SC SELECT should be activated by at least 0.5 inch of rainfall or irrigation before weeds germinate and within 14 days folloing application. See the map below for approximate crabgrass seed germination dates.

Prime Source Prodiamine 4SC Select is applied at 22 oz to 48.4 oz/acre (0.5 to 1.1 fl oz per 1000 sq ft) in no less than 20 gallons of water (½ gallon of water per 1000 sq ft) depending on the type of turfgrass you have.

Prime Source Prodiamine 4SC Select Pre-Emergent Herbicide can be mixed with a liquid fertilizer and applied as directed on the product label.
The mix rate for Prime Source Prodiamine 4SC Select Pre-Emergent Herbicide will depend on the type of turfgrass you have.
