Product Overview

The Tomahawk Large Snake Trap with Extension Wings - Model 460XL is an extra-large funneling snake trap for larger snakes that are intended for relocation. It has an adjustable 3-inch funnel opening. With this trap, it is easy and safer for a snake to only enter, so it will not be able to come back out once it has started entering the trap. Once the snake starts to enter, it usually will just continue to enter until it coils up because it is hard for it to go backwards and may hurt them. This trap features a powder-coated finish which provides additional solar heat, making it more inviting to snakes. It comes with two 36-inch extension wings which help steer the snakes into the trap. The back door is detatchable with a welded-on sheet metal plate for easier release and extra protection during removal of the rear door lock.

What would you bait Tomahawk Snake Trap with Extension Wings - Model 460XL with for copperheads?

My yard is infested with copperheads. I've killed five huge one in last two weeks between 36 and 46 inches long everyone of them.

A

While no bait is required when trapping snakes as they prefer live prey, you can use some common food for the copperhead snakes like eggs, mice, or crickets in the Tomahawk Snake Trap with Extension Wings - Model 460XL to lure them in as long as they can be contained inside the station.

Q
No directions as to how to bait the Tomahawk Snake Trap with Extension Wings - Model 460XL etc.

How to I use this snake trap, bait etc. Help please

A

Since snakes only eat live prey there really isn’t a bait to place in the Tomahawk Snake Trap with Extension Wings - Model 460XL. It is best to place in areas they travel and where you suspect there is activity.
