The Andersons CastAway DG Tea Seed Meal Fertilizer 1-0-0 is a natural granule fertilizer containing high protein content. This product is from tea plant seed meal. It decreases worm castings on well-kept turfgrasses. It is effective on all turfgrass species. Apply 3-5 pounds per 1000 square feet of dry turfgrass with a broadcast-style spreader. This product incorporates Dispersing Granule Technology, which allows granules to dissolve with less water and flow into the soil more quickly. Reapply every 4-5 weeks for low rates and every 6-8 weeks for high rates. Available in a 40-pounder bag.

Apply to dry turfgrass at 3.0 to 5.0 pounds product per 1000 square feet. Water in with approximately 0.25 inches of water within 12-24 hours after application to avoid mower pick-up. Irrigation or rainfall will disperse each granule into thousands of smaller particles, moving the product into the soil for improved product efficacy and decreased mower pick-up. Reapply every 4-5 weeks (LOW rate) or 6-8 weeks (HIGH rate). For use on all cool- and warm-season turfgrasses. Apply only to actively growing turf. Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
Apply this product only to your lawn and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk or street, back onto your lawn. Check with your local Cooperative Extension Agency to obtain specific information on local turf best management practices. Check with your county or city government to determine if there are local regulations for fertilizer use.
