    Propiconazole Fungicide

    By Dana on 06/07/2017

There are two types of grass fungicide: systemic fungicides that are absorbed into the plant, and "blockers" that prevent fungus spores from invading the plant. Propiconazole is a systemic fungicide, and appears to be working just fine. However, you should switch to another fungicide "every other time" to prevent the disease from developing resistance. By the way, customer service at DoMyOwn is five stars+.

    Wish I didn't hesitate

    By Tim on 08/31/2017

I had rust all over my new 1+ acre lawn planted early June 2017. Most everything you read online says to just fertilize and it will go away, it did not for me. As soon as I put this stuff on it killed the rust and the lawn was growing again in two days. I wish I just bought it and applied as soon as I noticed the rust as it was really bothersome to me for almost a month.

    Worked exactly as described

    By Nathan on 08/14/2017

Used this product for dollar spot and brown patch. Used with Docket WS Fungicide and then alternated to Quali-Pro TM 4.5 two weeks later. I have had zero activity since I started rotating these products.

Can you combine Propiconazole 14.3 with Cleary’s 3333F at a half rate in TTTF as a preventative measure?
A

While tank mixing and applying Clearys 3336F and Propiconazole together can be done if you feel it’s needed due to the severity of the disease in your lawn, you likely will get better results by just rotating between the two every 14 days based on label instructions and the mix rates for your disease.

Q
Will 20oz mixed with 4 gallons sprayed over 3k square feet in 50-60 degree weather harm fescue?
A
The mixing rate of Propiconazole 14.3 is 1-2 fl. oz. per 1000 square feet.  This would be mixed in however much water it takes to cover that 1000 sq. ft.  Generally 1-2 gallons will cover the area but this depends on the specific equipment being used, how fast you are walking, and the pressure of the sprayer.

Q
Does the grass have to be dry when applying Propiconazole 14.3 or use as a snow mold protection chemical

I am making an application before it snows and am wondering if my grass needs to be dry for a specific length of time to be effective with controlling snow mold. Thanks.

A
Propiconazole 14.3 is not specifically labeled for snow mold, so this is not the product we would recommend using in this situation. Instead, you may use a product such as Heritage G Fungicide. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.

Q
Is Propiconazole 14.3 Fungicide good treat scab on pecan trees?
A

Propiconazole 14.3 is labeled to treat scab on non bearing pecan trees, this means it should not be applied to trees that will bear harvestable fruit in 12 months. Per the product label, for pecans, apply at 12 fl oz in 100 gallons of water and apply as a full coverage spray to the point of drip. Apply every 30 days beginning when conditions are favorable for disease development.

Unfortunately, we do not offer many fungicides for pecans that are consumed.  Neem oil is one of the most popular products used on pecan trees for insect and disease control.

Q
Propiconazole and Rain

I applied propiconazole 14.3 to my bermuda lawn to treat brown patch and dollar spot. I understand that these are foliar diseases, so I applied with no rain in the forecast, however it proceeded to rain within 4 hrs of application (it was warm so product had dried). Do I need to be concerned with the effectiveness of the product in treating the desired diseases after this rain?

A

It is recommended to water in herbicide and fungicide products like Propiconazole 14.3 because typically they need to get down to the root system, and the main way to do this is to water the lawn so the product can make its way to the roots.  You can also apply more water when performing the treatment for the same effect. If you apply the product before a rain event, that is even better.
