    Q
Why is it necessary not to mow within 2 days before or after applying Quinclorac 75 DF?
    A

  • Asked by Mike from Glasgow, Mt
    06/30/2019
    Q
What is the difference between Quinclorac 1.5L and Quinclorac 75 DF ?
Do they need a surfactant? Will they kill foxtail?
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF is a water dispersable granule.  Quinclorac 1.5L is a liquid.  Both have the same active ingredient.  Both require the addition of a methylated seed oil surfactant such as Duo Stick Select for best results.  Both will control foxtail.

  • Asked by Nicolas from Covington
    01/11/2020
    Q
Can I tank mix Quinclorac 75 DF with Prodiamine on a Bermuda lawn? Or do I need to apply separately.
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF can be tank mixed with pre-emergents such as Prodiamine as long as rates for each product are followed.  We do recommend that you do a jar test to ensure proper mixing before adding to your tank, and also that you add a surfactant for the Quinclorac to be more effective

  • Asked by Greenyblue from New Fields, Nh
    08/13/2019
    Q
When to use fertilizer after applying Quinclorac 75 DF?
I would like to know I can use fertilizer before, after or during an application of Quinclorac 75 DF. If you can also provide a duration or wait time for fertilization.
    A

There is not a specific amount of time you need to wait to apply your fertilizer after applying Quinclorac 75 DF. Since Quinclorac works best when it has at least 24 hours to dry after application, then waiting at least 1 day before watering or applying a liquid fertilizer would be advantageous.

  • Asked by Rodney from New Washington, Ohio
    03/30/2020
    Q
    Can I tank mix Quinclorac 75 with 2-4 D?
    To help kill dandelions.
    A

You should be able to safely mix the Quinclorac 75 DF and a 2,4-D product to get a wider range of weed and weedy grass control with no issues. As with any chemical mixture, be sure to do a tank-mix test first to make sure no clumping or mixing issues occur and spot test a small area to be sure no undesirable effects occur from the mixture and use. Always follow the most restrictive label of the two for use and refer to each product label for complete instructions regarding tank mixing.

  • Asked by Timm from Seattle, Wa
    11/27/2019
    Q
When and how often can Quinclorac 75 DF be applied?
Could this product be applied year round? Would applying in the late Fall / early Winter be of benefit to my lawn? How long in between applications should I follow up?
    A

When Quinclorac 75 DF is applied can vary depending on the target weed as directed on the product label.  Retreatment intervals can be 14-21 days. Keep in mind that post-emergent herbicides will work best when the target weeds are young and actively growing. Quinclorac is only a post-emergent herbicide, so it doese not prevent any new weeds from germinating.

    Q
Can Quinclorac 75 be mixed with Trimec?
    A

When applying any two herbicides at the same time you will need to do a jar test and check for compatibility and emulsion of the two products.  If the Quinclorac 75 DF and Trimec mix well and emulsify after agitation it would be ok to mix and apply them together.

  • Asked by Roberto from Queens, Ny

    Q
Why is Quinclorac 75 DF not for sale in NY?
    A

New York is a very tough state for homeowners to purchase the professional grade products we carry like Quinclorac 75 DF.  The states prefers that only licensed trained professionals handle the product and many others.  A great alternative is the Ferti-Lome Weed Out with Crabgrass Killer: it contains the same active ingredient.
