The Duo Stick Select is specially formulated for use with herbicides and other pesticides that require MSO or MVO. It features a definite, high quality blend of methylated soybean oil (MSO) and organisilicone surfactant (OSS). The oil serves as a major penetrant that supports particular pesticides in shifting through the waxy cuticle of leaves and plants for optimal efficiency. Furthermore, the organisilicone surfactant boosts the distribution and wetting of the applied solution to allow the active move rapidly and directly to the plant. Duo Stick Select is best used to rights of way, forestry site preparation applications, turf and ornamentals, aquatic/submerged, aquatic/surface, and agriculture and citrus.

Duo Stick Select is designed for use with herbicides and may be used when the pesticide label calls for an MVO or MSO, but does not exclude the use of an organosilicone.
As with all spray applications, be certain the mix tank and spray equipment is clean and free from previous spray solution residues.
Always follow the pesticide label instructions for mixing and use. If no mixing instructions are available, add tank mix partners in the following order, maintaining agitation throughout the mixing process:

I have tried this product with Herbicides and I feel that it makes a big difference. I use a dilution rate of 1/2 ounce per gallon duo stick. You can make a lot of gallons with this one bottle. I have tried not using this product and the results were not as good. If you're going to spend the money on a good herbicide duo stick is small change

Can't say for sure

I have never used the product I purchased to go along with this by itself or at all to compare the effectiveness of this partnering product. I do know I wanted my crabgrass dead and the combination of this plus the quinclorac made that happen.

Can't I just use some dish detergent with my herbicide instead of buying this?
Many professional herbicides will recommend using a non-ionic surfactant such as Prime Source Duo Stick to increase the efficacy of the herbicide. You will see this primarily on post-emergent herbicides (some herbicides, like many RoundUp products, already contain a surfactant). Besides not being labeled for use as a surfactant or spreader sticker, even a small amount of dish soap would cause foaming in your spray equipment, which would interfere with your spraying and possibly cause the need for extensive cleaning of your equipment. Results from dish soap as a surfactant would be inconsistent, possibly causing you to waste product (and the time you took to apply it) with limited results. Dish detergents may also cause increased phytotoxicity (burning or other damage) to desirable plants, especially during the hot summer months when post-emergent herbicides are often used.
Prime Source Duo Stick is a high quality methylated seed oil (MSO) and organisilicone surfactant (OSS) that strips the waxy cuticle of plant leaves for better pesticide absorption while offering excellent spreading and coverage of your herbicide. MSO surfactants are used most frequently with herbicides containing quinclorac, such as Drive XLR8.

The manufacturer recommends using Dyneamic surfactant with Drive XLR8. Prime Source Duo Stick is a generic version of the product and could also be used.
