    Q
Can I mix Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide with Tebucanzole?
    A

As long as you perform a tank mix test first to check for compatibility between the two chemicals, you can tank mix the Quinclorac 75 DF and the Tebuconazole fungicide to apply together. You will want to mix the Quinclorac into the tank first since it is the dry chemical that will need more time to dissolve into the water before adding the other chemical.

    Q
    Quinclorac after Bermuda seeding
I did a total kill and till on a section of my yard that has been neglected, about 1000 sq ft. I put down my Bermuda seed and peat moss, Bermuda came right up, being hot summer days and 4x daily watering plus Central Florida's rain showers. The problem I have is that crabgrass or torpedo grass is growing faster than I can pick it by hand. I want to hit it with some quinclorac but I'm afraid to kill the young Bermuda. Should I wait until next spring to hit a pre or can I apply quinclorac to young Bermuda?
    A
When planting with Bermuda seed, there is not wait time for applying Quinclorac 75 DF. Please refer to the seeding chart on p. 11 of the product label for specific timing.

Should I add ammonium sulfate and MSO to a Quinclorac 75 tank mix?

    Q
How much Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide would you recommend putting in a 500 gallon hydroseeder?
I'm interested in trying it in a hydroseed tank that is 500 gallons
    A

Since the Quinclorac 75 DF is not typically spread in a hydroseeder, we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer, Quali-Pro for more information. Their phone number is 800.242.5562.

Quinclorac 75 DF is not labeled to control spurge at all.  We would recommend Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide instead with also contains quinclorac and 3 other actives for broader weed control.

  • Asked by Jamie from Noble, oklahoma

    Q
Will the effectiveness of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide be reduced if I watered the application in after the initial treatment? I mixed 24 oz of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide with 4 gallons of water.
    A

Per the product label, if soil is dry before a Quali-Pro Quinclorac 75 DF application, irrigation of the turfgrass may improve weed control. For best results, DO NOT water or irrigate for 24 hours following the application. Irrigate the treated turfgrass with atleast ½ inch of water 2 to 7 days after application if no rainfall is received within that period.

Depending on how many square feet the 4 gallons of mixed solution covered, you may need to do a repeat application for better weed control. Per the product label, the mix rate is 0.73 oz per 1000 sq ft or 1 tbsp per gallon of water.

  • Asked by Craig from Marietta, Georgia
    04/05/2021
    Q
Are there any restrictions on spot spraying Quinclorac 75 DF to hybrid Bermuda grass coming out of dormancy?
    A

The product label for Quinclorac 75 DF does not restrict applications during transition. However, since Quinclorac 75 DF may yellow hybrid Bermudagrass, and Bermuda in general is more sensitive during transition, we recommend that you wait until the Bermuda is fully green before applying this herbicide. Quinclorac will be most effective when air temperatures are around 60-85 degrees and there is good soil moisture, so those conditions may not exist until the Bermuda is fully green. You can add some chelated iron or liquid nitrogen fertilizer when using Quinclorac 75 DF on hybrid Bermuda to help reduce risk of discoloration, per the product label.

    Q
How much Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide do I use in a 4 gallon backpack sprayer?
My yard is 3400 sq ft.
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF is used at the rate of 0.367 oz per 1000 sq ft when applied as a broadcast appliation or spot treatment in a minimum of 0.5 gallons of water.  If you are just spot treating with a specific amount of water, for example 1 gallon, you would use the 1 tbsp per gallon of water. So if you are treating the entire lawn, you could use 1.25 oz in 4 gallons to treat the entire lawn.

  • Asked by Volkan from Lovettsville, Virginia

    Q
What type of surfactant should I use when mixing Quinclorac with Triclopyr, Methylated Seed Oil or non-ionic?
Quinclorac suggests Methylated Seed Oil surfuctant and triclopry suggests non-ionic surfuctant. When mixing them togethe,r what type of surfactant would be more suitable?
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF should be used with a Methylated Seed Oil (MSO) surfactant such as Prime Source Duo Stick. Generally speaking, triclopyr does not require a surfactant and is normally applied in cooler temperatures whereas quinclorac is applied in warmer temperatures. Using triclopyr with an MSO may be too harsh on any desirable turfgrass. There is a specific window (time frame) these types of products could be applied if they were to be applied together for a situation labeled safe for that type of use. We would recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office for more information on the best timing to treat the specific weeds in your specific region.

    Q
Can you convert 0.375 ounces of Quinclorac to teaspoons or tablespoons?
    Hard to measure 0.375 ounces
    A

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide comes included with a measuring device that should assist with the precise amount, if you do not have the measuring cup, you will need a scale to measure it as it is done by weight and not volume as a dry product. Please refer to the product label for application rates and instructions, and use as directed.

    Q
Can Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide be applied to Marathon Grass? Not sure if it's Marathon 1, 2 or 3 type of turfgrass.
    A

If the Marathon turgrass you have is a Tall Fescue seed blend then yes, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide would be safe to apply as Tall Fescue is a tolerant turfgrass per the product label. For spot treatment of weeds, it is recommended to use a MSO surfactant for better adhesion and faster burndown of weeds.

Will Crabgrass disintegrate after it dies completely? I heard The Lawn Care Nut say or will it turn orange when dead and not disintegrate, so your left with orange sports in lawn until next season

  • Asked by Rodney from New Washington, Ohio
    03/30/2020
    Q
    Can I tank mix Quinclorac 75 with 2-4 D?
    To help kill dandelions.
    A

You should be able to safely mix the Quinclorac 75 DF and a 2,4-D product to get a wider range of weed and weedy grass control with no issues. As with any chemical mixture, be sure to do a tank-mix test first to make sure no clumping or mixing issues occur and spot test a small area to be sure no undesirable effects occur from the mixture and use. Always follow the most restrictive label of the two for use and refer to each product label for complete instructions regarding tank mixing.
