Quinclorac 75 DF is a water-soluble selective post-emergent herbicide that kills broadleaf weeds and grasses in tolerant turf species. Used as a post-emergent, this crabgrass killer herbicide controls many broad-leaf and grass weeds in turf-grasses on commercial and residential grounds or lawns for homes, airports, athletic fields, golf courses, military and other institutions, parks, roadsides, schools, sod farms.
The weed foliage and roots absorb the Quinclorac 75 DF and translocate it throughout the weed. Treated weeds will show signs of leaf and stem curling or twisting, stunting, change of color from green to white, then to red, before finally dying.
The use of a methylated seed oil surfactant, such as Duo Stick Select is recommended to greatly enhance the effectiveness of the product.
For use in California: Biotypes of large and smooth crabgrass in California have shown varied response to this product. If control failure occurs following a full or split application, DO NOT reapply this product. Change to a herbicide with a different mode of action.

My neighbor doesn't much take care of their lawn except to mow it every month or so, and so their crabgrass was continually growing into my lawn and pulling it up only seemed to spread the seeds throughout my lawn. I mixed according to the instructions, put it down 2 days after mowing and it has killed off probably 80% of what I sprayed. It will probably need another application, but frankly, they were growing a hardy lawn of crabgrass. All the store bought stuff wasn't doing anything so I'm very happy with the results.

Quinclorac does exactly what is supposed to do but the main reason I love it is because it doesn't damage your lawn just kills the target weeds that is supposed to Kill I had a bunch of crabgrass and my lawn and is slowly killing it So if you looking for something that will kill crabgrass overnight this product might not be for you but it will kill it while your lawn thrives around it slowly disappearing

Quniclorac
By Dave on 07/18/2017
I have clover and crabgrass so this is my last resort. Applied with Prime Source Duo Stick as instructed. Followed directions to a "T." I'm giving it five stars because the clover and few dandelions I had are dying. Crabgrass appears to be turning yellow. I may have to give another application, and here's why. Weather. It was supposed to be nice with a 20% chance of showers for the few days after my application. Well, the weather people changed their minds the evening of the day I applied and we got 3.13 inches of rain the day after. I'm thinking it didn't stand much of a chance. I think had this not happened it would have been fine. I will say that it already has beaten the usual consumer spreader weed and feeds I have tried in the past. My opinion is positive considering we had our 11th wettest day on record. This is not my first purchase from Domyown Pest Control and I will purchase from them again. They are excellent.

I am looking for a produce to kill crab grass that will not damage my lawn or rose garden / flower bed
Yes, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide will damage your roses. You can spot-treat with Roundup and put down a pre-emergent like Hi-Yield Herbicide Granules to prevent the crabgrass from coming back. Another option for selective grass control around ornamental plants like roses is Grass Out Max
Can we mix this other broadleaf herbicide like Q4 plus? For convenience can have this mix saved in a spray tank for later use?
The manufacturer of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide suggests not storing diluted solution for more than 24 hours to avoid losing efficacy. It would not be tank mixed with Q4 as it contains quinclorac as well and does not need a surfactant.
Per the product label: You should be able to safely mix the Quinclorac 75 DF with 2,4-D, triclopry, MCPA, MCPP, Three way products or other broadleaf herbicides. to get a wider range of weed and weedy grass control with no issues. As with any chemical mixture, be sure to do a tank-mix test first to make sure no clumping or mixing issues occur and spot test a small area to be sure no undesirable effects occur from the mixture and use. Always follow the most restrictive label of the two for use and refer to each product label for complete instructions regarding tank mixing.
Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is labeled for Wild Violets at the rate of 0.367 oz per 1000 sq ft. Apply in atleast 1 gallon spray mix per 1000 sq ft to ensure thorough, uniform spray coverage. For best results, a methylated seed oil surfactant like Duo Stick should be tank mixed with the Quinclorac 75DF.

Unfortunately, to reverse the effects of a product such as Prime Source Quinclorac 75 DF Select Herbicide it would need to be done immediately after the application.
Sometimes using an activated charcoal product and watering the area may help within the first couple of hours after the application. Otherwise, only time will tell the extent of the damage. For torpedograss, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is advised to be applied at the rate of 0.245 oz in 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft doing 3 sequential applications at 14-21 day intervals. Per the product label, the addition of a Methylated Seed Oil Surfactant is needed for best results at the rate of 2 tbsp per gallon of water or 1.5 pints of MSO per acre.
The timing can vary when weeds will start to show signs of dying or when they will die off completey when applying a post emergent. This can vary due to the weather conditions, the type of weed it is, how established the weed is, the specific active ingredients and the rates applied. Generally we advise to allow 1 to 3 weeks to begin seeing results before any follow up applications.
Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide should not be applied to a saturated lawn, but it can be applied 24 hours after rain. You should not water your lawn within 24 hours after applying, or apply when any rain is expected in the next 24 hours. You can refer to the manufacturer's product label for complete application instructions.
Prices of herbicides, including Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide, fluctuate due to fair market value.
can I kill unwanted grass in a bluegrass and fescue lawn
Unfortunately, we do not carry a herbicide that can control foxtail and crabgrass in a deer plot and Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is not labeled safe on Egyptian Wheat.
We can only recommend spot treating with a non-selective like Avenger or contacting your local extension office or department of agriculture.
Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide targets large and smooth crabgrass when used as directed.
