    I live in a one bedroom apartment and I cannot see what can I use to keep the roaches out of my apartment?
    My apartment manager has call the exterminator several times but they are not treating the adjacent apartment. What can I do to get rid of the roaches?

    Roach infestations almost always require you to use some type of chemical to get rid of them. You can use glueboards but glueboards alone are rarely going to get rid an entire roach infestation. Please take a few minutes to read our How to get rid of roaches article to learn what will be needed to get rid of an infestation. The article explains how to use an integrated management approach rather than using chemicals alone. Most folks purchase and use our Roach kit # 2 for their roach control program.

    Can Gentrol be placed around the perimeter of the house?
    In addition to placing it inside the home, can I also place the product around the home outside. Will it be effective? Will this item give out fumes after activation? Can it be placed near the dining table on a wall?

    We would not recommend to use Gentrol outdoors, as it would not stand up to outdoor elements. We highly recommend using Nyguard IGR as it will remain effective for up to 7 months.

    What is the best thing to use to get rid of the roaches my ex roommate left behind?
    We had a roommate for the past 3 yrs up until I kept seeing roaches around his door that he always kept locked. I took it upon myself to bust the door in and it was infested with every kind of roach I have ever seen. He was given a week to get his self out and his room looked like the inside of a dumpster on steroids. We have never had a roach problem till he had been here. We may have seen one on occasion but it would be albino looking and going in a backwards circle so I know it was on its last leg. Anyhow I have a cat and a dog and I don't want to use anything that would be dangerous. We have been using Amdro spray an orkin spray and its ok but I need something better. I'm scared of them bugs.

    All of the products in the Roach Control Kit #2 would work very well to help eliminate roaches and are safe to use around pets when applied as directed on the product label. When the actual application of the Demon WP is being made, all pets should be out of the area and they can return as soon as the treated areas are dry. The Invict Gold Roach Bait should be placed directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. This will make the gel available to the roaches and inaccessible to your pets. The Gentrol Point Source do not actually contain any insecticides, just an insect juvenile growth hormone mimic. These discs can also be placed out of reach of children and animals and are readily used in sensitive locations such as hospitals and day cares everyday. Severe infestations may take several months to eliminate no matter what products you use. Sanitation will be a key factor in eliminating the roaches.     I purchased the Roach Kit 2. What order should I apply products?
    I don't feel like I can do all of the steps (spray, gel and IGR pods) in one day. I was thinking to work on one product at a time. Is there a preferred order for introducing the products or should I do all 3 at a time but room by room as I can?

    The order in which you need to apply the products in the Roach Control Kit 2 is not important. It is only important that you do the sanitation first so you do not risk contaminating the bait placements or washing away the insecticide application.

    What is a good bomb for a mobile home if i have German roaches that are in my kitchen?
    Also I have a collection of more than 1000 DVD's in my home, should they be removed from the room when i bomb the house? Will the bomb hurt HD tv's/computer/electronic devices if left uncovered?

    The first thing you should know is that bombs are highly ineffective when trying to control roaches of any species. Bombs will only kill while they are going off (they leave no residual behind) and contrary to popular belief, they do not penetrate into walls or inside cabinets or under furniture, so it will only kill the roaches that come out while the bomb is dispersing. If you are looking to accurately, quickly, and completely eliminate the roaches in your home you will want to follow the steps outlined in our article How To Get Rid of Roaches, and use either of our Roach Control Kits accordingly.
