Yes, Rodeo Herbicide is safe for your lagoon, as it should be applied only to the green foliage, not the water in the lagoon. Rodeo will not control underwater plants, or those with foliage mostly underwater. Mix the Rodeo concentrate with water and a non-ionic surfactant (See DyneAmic Surfactant) and apply by using a back pack or Chapin sprayer. For Cattail or Lily control wait until the plants are mature. Apply to dry plants. No water use restrictions.
Rodeo is not labeled for wild grapevine. We would recommend Crossbow Specialty Herbicide, as it is labeled for wild grape.
Rodeo Herbicide should be applied to actively growing weeds when they are first emerging for best results. You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region.

The Rodeo Herbicide states there are no restrictions as far as swimming or utilizing water after an application of Rodeo. If you wish to give a day between treatments and when you resume swimming for your comfort levels you can certainly do so, however it is not required.
Areas that have been treated with Rodeo Herbicide are safe for chickens and other animals to return once dry, typically after 4-6 hours. It would not affect the eggs they lay.
The product label for Rodeo Herbicide does not list specific water well restrictions, so we would recommend avoiding application in a way that would directly contact a water well, as well as keeping applications at least 15 feet from a water well.

Yes, it is possible that Rodeo Herbicide can harm a tree if it comes in direct contact with it. We would recommend spraying outside the drip zone of the tree and not spraying around any desirable vegetation. Another method would be to brush the solution directly onto the leaves of the English Ivy or pull the ivy away from the tree to spray it directly.
For best results, a non ionic surfactant is recommended to be used with Rodeo Herbicide. Per the product label, using this product without a surfactant will result in reduced herbicide performance and may not provide the results you are wanting.
Rodeo Herbicide has been discontinued by the manufacturer and Roundup Custom Aquatic Terrestrial Herbicide would be an alternative for treating aquatic weeds.

Rodeo Herbicide is labeled for phragmites at a 4 to 7 percent solution of this product in low volume directed spray applications. The product label states this product only offers partial control and rates vary depending what equipment is being used.
Spray coverage should be uniform with at least 50 percent of the foliage contacted For best results, cover the top one-half of the plant To ensure adequate spray coverage, spray both sides of large or tall weeds when foliage is thick and dense or where there are multiple sprouts.

Rodeo Herbicide has no herbicidal or residual activity in the soil. Where repeat applications up to the labeled rate are necessary, do not apply more than 8 quarts of product per acre per year. It could take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to notice results.
The label for Rodeo Herbicide states "Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse." It also states "Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing."
