Another poor Scoots product

Bad design….
By Matthew on 12/10/2021
Though I didn't buy it on this website I'm reviewing because I'm here to buy a new one to replace this unit after 2 uses. Which was 1 too many. Don't make the same mistake as me. The spreader is too low and everything hits the wheels and falls down in the middle and you will have lines. Whether fertilizer or grass seed.

Left Lines
By Kris on 07/31/2023
Poorly designed. The broadcaster does not clear the hollow plastic wheels. Hence, a portion of the fertilizer gets caught in the middle and leaves a perfectly concentrated line right under the machine, leaving you with ugly deep lines in your yard. This has be shopping for something better.

The shaft on the rotary platform that distributes the fertilizer broke off from the platform. Can I get a replacement?
Spreaders like the Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader do disperse product per 1000 sqft but the settings are not the exact number for lbs per 1000 you use. It depends on the product that you are using, if a Scotts products they list their settings on their product bags specific for their spreaders.
Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates if yours is not listed. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this below.
