  • Asked by Gary from New Prague, Mn
    07/22/2016
    Q
Can Sevin Concentrate be mixed with Roundup?
    A

Roundup products are non selective herbicides that kill everything they are applied to so we cannot see any valid reason to mix it with Sevin Concentrate unless you want to kill the plant/grass area you are trying to control the listed insects on.  That being said, as long as both product labels are followed you could do so but we would recommend doing a compatibility test.

    Q
Does Sevin work with Bayer Advanced All In One Rose and Flower Care?
I have some bugs attacking my rose bushes -- I want to use both to make sure I get them. But, don't want to cause a chemical imbalance and kill the plants.
    A

Bayer Advanced All In One Rose and Flower Care treats for many types of pests. Is there a pest that it is not labeled for? We see no reason to apply both. We would not recommend applying both to Roses at the same time.

    Q
Why can't we use Sevin on our lawn?
    We have ticks.

Because they have different formulations, they have separate Product Labels that have separate use instructions. For more detailed information as to why the Sevin Insecticide Granules can be used on lawns, where the Sevin Concentrate is limited to vegetables, fruit, and ornamentals please contact the manufacture, GardenTech at 866-945-5033.

  • Asked by Lyn from Hauser, Idaho
    08/21/2016
    Q
If sprayed on pear trees when fruit is on will Sevin Concentrate penetrate the fruit skin?
    A

No, per the manufacturer Sevin concentrate when used on pear trees when fruit is present will not penetrate the skin. However, you do want to try and spray upper and lower leaf surface, between fruit clusters, and on small limbs and trunks only to the point of run off where the pest appear. Even though there may be some over spray when spraying it would not harm the pear itself. You would just want to be sure when you do harvest the fruit that you wash it well before using or eating.
