Fair on Crabgrass, Terrible on Nut Sedge
By James on 09/15/2019
My lawn has an infestation of crabgrass and nut sedge. I applied a full container of Solitare Herbicide to about .75 acres by diluting it in 30 gallons of water and spraying. It was a very warm and dry day. Grass had not been cut for 3 days and irrigation was turned off the day before and for 2 days after application. After 2 weeks, the crabgrass was a little embarrassed (turned red), but the nut sedge just laughed at it (no result). I finally had to walk around and spray each weed with Glyphosate to get it all killed prior to fall aeration and seeding time. I won't waste my money on Solitaire again.
