This stuff is POWERFUL!!!

With our SECOND year of having bermuda sod mixed with NEW southern weeds, (nutsedge, carpetweed, crabgrass, wild onion and garlic), we have seen a noticeable difference with the use of this product! WOW! Our neighbors do not maintain a weed free lawn while we do our best to do so....Her weeds are just cut (not bagged) and they seem to always blow their way into our yard. With proper use of this product and within two days of application, we have seen the weeds in our sod die off and turn yellow. The wild onions and garlic are laying over begging for their lives. It is a bit pricey, but when you look at the results and the amount of time you gain by using the product, how can you argue it. IT WORKS....Our bermuda is on its way to being weed free for the second year. Thanks for making such a great product....We couldn't be happier using it and our yard thanks you, too!

I am a homeowner and I first learned about Solitare from my lawn service company. After seeing the nutsedge brown and die so quickly without damaging the Bermuda grass, I had to find out what they were using so I could spot spray weeds at my leisure. I am very happy with the results so far. Nutsedge showed signs of dying within 48 hours. Other weeds about the same. I used 1/2 ounce (used measuring cup that came with Solitare) per gallon in my 3 gallon back pack sprayer and used a fan type spray head. I'm still battling the spurge, but that seems to be a tougher weed to control.

crab grass control

I watched the video and was impressed. I sent for the Solitare and applied it to my lawn and in 2 days could see results. It is having a very good effect and would recommend it. My neighbor asked me about it and he is ordering some as well. GREAT PRODUCT.

Image brand products from Lowes and Home Depot have very low concentrations of chemicals like Quinclorac for killing crabgrass. Many don't even have the correct chemical ingredients even when it says "kills crabgrass" on the label. Maybe they are overly cautious so some DIY'er doesn't kill his lawn and sue them. When I researched what chemicals kill crabgrass the two chemicals that Solitare has, Quinclorac and Sulfentrazone kept coming up. So I looked for a product like this that had both. I put this on last week and effects were seen within a week. My Bermuda grass was not affected and is starting to fill in. I'll probably order some for this fall. It's expensive but I think the overall cost compared to multiple attempts with Image is probably less especially considering the time lost using Image and other mixes.

best herbicide I have ever used
By Mike on 04/22/2024
Every year I spray 2-4-D to kill any new dandelion growth that might have blown in, I live on 11 acres with horse farms and open areas on several sides, who do not control weeds. I love how it kills those ugly weeds. But within 2 weeks I begin to see other weeds making there way in. My huge front yard has 4 huge (36" to 48" high pressure nature gas lines running under it) I rarely have snow last more than a day, because of the heat the gas creates running through the lines. During the summer it really dries out the area and my grass cant compete with the heat so I loose some and that means weeds are coming to take their place. Solitare has given me the most complete weed kill and lasting coverage of anything I have ever used, it is the absolute best.
Great stuff

This works well in Bermuda grass. It takes care of clover and the nutsedge that I have been unable to get rid of. Spectracide, MSMA and this together is great. When I use dawn soap as surfactant replacement it does brown a bit, but if I do not use the soap I don't notice the browning. A bit expensive but goes a long way.
