    Q
Is Steri-Fab completely safe for cats?
If I spray it on furniture or rugs, can it still be toxic to my cat if she licks or lays on the fabric even after it has dried? I have read that pyrethroids/permethrin toxicity is a leading cause of poisoning in felines.
    A
As long as you follow the Sterifab product label you should not have any issues with your cat. We have been selling this product for many years have never had a single report of cats having an adverse reaction to Sterifab.

    Q
Can you use Steri-Fab to treat bed bugs inside a crib where a baby sleeps?
    A
Steri-Fab can be used just about anywhere, but of course you should be very careful around a baby's crib. We would recommend washing the bedding in the crib where the baby touches and sleeps. Wash in a hot wash cycle and dry on high heat. This will kill all stages of bed bugs. With the bedding out of the crib, you can treat the frame of the crib and joints with Steri-Fab. Once dry, you can replace the bedding that was washed.

    Q
Can I use Sterifab on my dog?
I understand that this product works against ticks and fleas as well, I wonder if it is save to use on pets, or what you recommended.
    A
Steri-Fab is formulated to use on inanimate objects only and is NOT for use on animals or people. Sterifab is meant to be used to treat your pets environment where fleas or ticks could harbor such as your pets crate or dog bed. We do carry Petcor Spray which is labeled for use directly on animals for fleas and ticks.

    Q
Whats the best product way to get rid of a bird mite infestation?
My indoor/outdoor cat brought in these mites & now I'm going through it trying to figure out how to get rid of them. What product containing Bifenthrin is best for use in the house?
    A
It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with bird mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. If you do indeed have bird mites, you must first find the source of the infestation, usually a bird nest or a dead bird on or in the home. Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good.

    Q
I need to exterminate scabies mites, what will work?
    A
Scabies mites live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture though treating the home is usually not necessary.

    Q
Does Steri fab have an odor when sprayed? If "yes", how long does it last? Will it go away after drying?
    A
Steri-Fab does not have a strong odor at all and smells very much like rubbing alcohol.  It dries very quickly and does not leave a residual.  It is a contact kill product only, meaning it only kills when it is wet and there is nothing left when it dries.
