Suspend Polyzone Insecticide - Questions & Answers

Suspend Polyzone and Suspend SC? share the same active ingredient but their formulations are very different. Suspend SC will only last for about 30 days outdoors (90 days indoors) while Suspend Polyzone has been tested and will last for 90 days outdoors. Suspend Polyzone has a unique poly coating over the particles of the product which protects it from weathering and makes the residual last longer. Suspend Polyzone was also designed to stay up on the surface of even very porous areas such as concrete or wood which makes the product more available to insects. Suspend SC and Suspend Polyzone cannot be applied to animals including dogs. 

Yes, Suspend Polyzone is labeled to be used when treating for fleas outdoors, Suspend Polyzone can be mixed at a ratio of .25oz-1.5oz per gallon of water depending on the severity of the infestation. The Suspend Polyzone MSDS label recommends the following precautions when applying:

Eye/Face Protection: Tightly fitting Safety Goggles

Hand Protection: Chemical resistant nitrile rubber gloves

Body Protection: Wear long-sleeved and long pants and shoes plus socks

Respiratory Protection: When respirators are rquired, select NIOSH approved equipment based on actual or potential airborne concentrations and in accordance with the appropriate regulatory standards and/or industry recommendations.

Any edibles that have been sprayed with Suspend Polyzone are not fit for consumption and should be discarded.  If bees land in areas treated with the Suspend Polyzone, the insecticide can be toxic to them.

Suspend Polyzone will help control Asian roaches. You must be sure you are using Suspend Polyzone as part of your roach control program not all by itself for best results. Along with superior sanitation you should also be using a high quality roach bait to help control the roaches that like to remain hidden behind walls and cabinets and also an insect growth regulator (IGR) to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches while you are trying to get rid of the infestation.

Any edibles that have been sprayed with Suspend Polyzone are not fit for consumption and should be discarded. Also, the area that was treated can not be used for at least one growing season. If you wish to reuse the area right away, the soil must be replaced.

We do not recommend that you do the treatment of Suspend Polyzone, but rather have someone else spray for you just to stay on the side of caution during pregnancy. We recommend that you stay out of the treated area until it has completely dried and then it would be safe to return to.

Suspend Polyzone has the longest outside residual and is great for spiders. It dries clear and is applied every three months.

Suspend Polyzone is labeled to be applied indoors cracks and crevices. The shelf life if stored in a cool dry area is 3 years in the original container. What are you treating for? We can assist you with a product that is safe to apply to carpet, drapes, etc.

Suspend Polyzone will work great on Scorpions. The Microencapsulation is stronger to give you a longer residual at a strong 3 months. 

Yes, Suspend Polyzone can be applied using a hose end applicator. Be sure you follow the product label so that you are applying the correct amount of product per area.

We do not carry the Annihilator so do not know if it is the same as the Suspend Polyzone.  While Suspend Polyzone is labeled for mosquito, Talstar P is our most popular selling product for mosquito control.  It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and apply using any hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.  The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio you are trying to provide relief at.  It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where the mosquitoes hang out.  It should be applied every 30 days for optimum control.  It is also very good for bees and wasps, however you would not want to apply it or any other product directly to play sets where children will touch treated surfaces.  Also, Talstar P is labeled for over 100 different insects and will work in just about any situation.

Suspend Polyzone is lethal to honey bees.  If you decide to us it, be sure to make the application when the bees are less active.

One of the best all-around pesticides that will hold up well in intense weathering is Suspend Polyzone. This is great as a perimeter treatment and is labeled for all the pests you have mentioned. Keep in mind that excessive rain will cause any insecticide to degrade over time.

Suspend Polyzone is only for treating cracks and crevices inside, it cannot be used as a broadcast across floors.  Tengard is an option that has the same active as Dragnet.  For hard surfaces though you do not need to treat the entire floor.  Treatment should be more directed to cracks and crevices on hardwood and tile floors as that is where the eggs and young would be. Suspend Polyzone can be used for scorpions.  Per the product label: Treat areas where scorpions may hide. Treat known or suspected harborages on and around exterior walls. Apply spot treatments into cracks, crevices, weep holes or other access points into hollow block walls or masonry veneer. Spray around and beneath stones and along rocky areas. Scorpions will often harbor beneath the bark on trees, so inspect these areas and treat as required. When possible, remove piles of debris and building materials near the exterior wall that can harbor the pests. Apply a perimeter treatment to the exterior walls and adjacent soil. You may treat around piles of firewood, but do not treat firewood with this product

Suspend Polyzone is labeled to apply where the false powderpost beetles have been found/seen. It is not for structural protection or long term control in the wood. We recommend Boracare instead because it will penetrate the wood completely and will remain active for the life of the wood. 

Suspend Polyzone is not specifically labeled for clover mites. We would suggest applying Bifen IT. Bifen IT is labeled to treat for clover mites when used accordingly. Clover mites are barely smaller than a pinhead. You may notice clover mites as dark red moving specks which occur in large numbers. They are generally found crawling aroudn doors, windows, sidings, curtains, or furniture. Be sure to treat the ground at least 5-10 feet from the structure where you are seeing the clover mites.

Suspend Polyzone is safe to apply in poultry houses when animals are not present until treated areas are completely dry. We do not recommend treating areas where animals graze.
