    Q
Will Suspend SC work to get rid of bees and wasps around my back patio?
Also, do I just spray it on the cement? Can I spray it up under the overhang of house?
    A

Suspend SC is a great option for bees and wasps. It is labeled for both. You will spray around the perimeter of your home, in the eaves, etc. where the pests would be. The mixing ratio is 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This product should not be sprayed on the concrete. Yes, you can spray the overhang of your house. Be sure to wear protective goggles when spraying above your head. For an instant kill of flying stinging insects, you may also want to consider a knockdown spray such as Wasp Freeze.

    Q
Can you mix Suspend SC and Gentrol IGR together for bed bugs?
    A

Gentrol IGR and Suspend SC can be mixed together and are both labeled for bed bugs. The Gentrol IGR is the only birth control that has been shown to work on bed bugs, however it is not 100% guaranteed to work every single time in every home.  We would recommend reading over our guide on "How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs" for the best advice on effectively eliminating them.

    Q
Will the Suspend SC wipe out the fleas in my garage?
I took in a mama cat and her 5 kittens a couple months ago. Well the kittens all have new homes and mama is back outside but our garage is now home to a ton of fleas. I bought PT Ultracide and used the entire can on our garage yesterday. So this morning I went out to check and got absolutely blitzed by fleas. I had 15-20 of them on me in the less than a minute that I was out there. I was really hoping that they would be dead by now but a least they all appeared to be jittery. So I think that they are on their way out. Just thought that it would work a bit faster. I bought the Ultracide after two applications of TalstarP. But that stuff has been in my garage for 4-5 years and I have doubts that it's any good after that many summers and winters. I have Suspend SC and precor in my cart. If I still have fleas in a week or two, will those two wipe out the rest or should I get more Ultracide?
    A

The main thing to know when dealing with fleas is that there is no overnight fix for them, it can take multiple applications to completely eliminate them sometimes 2-3 treatments or more.  You also want to make sure that you are following the instructions on the product labels that you are using.  Suspend SC? is not labeled to be used anymore often than once every 21 days.   Per the product label for indoor applications, you should also only apply as a coarse, low pressure crack and crevice spot treatment to problem areas and infested habitats. Do not treat entire floor, carpet or floor coverings. Do not apply as a space spray. Application to furniture should be restricted to areas where prolonged contact by humans will not occur. Care should be taken to limit spot treatment to pet beds and infested floor coverings. Suspend SC would not be a good choice for indoor flea control because it can not be used over cracks and crevices only. For indoors, we would highly recommend our Indoor Flea Kit.  It is our most popular product for indoor flea control and is usually the final treatment that people end up using that works when they have tried everything else.

    07/29/2016
    Q
Can Suspend SC be mixed with Lambdastar 9.7% for broader coverage?
    A

There is no valid reason to mix Suspend SC and Lambdastar 9.7% together, it would not make either product work better or produce better results, though it could make treated areas repellent to insects lessening the effectiveness of the treatment.

  • Asked by Ron from Modesto, Ca
    07/29/2016
    Q
Can there be resistance issues after 4 years of using Suspend SC for roach control?
Has a resistance developed? Please recommend a different insecticide. Problem appears to be coming from the neighbors because it is always at the perimeter of the property, none in the house, but it may be approaching.
    A

We recommend rotating between insecticides at least once a year to prevent resistance issues. Even though Suspend SC is an effective product, after 4 years of continuous use, it is possible that resistance has been developed. There is a variety of products you can rotate to, Temprid SC, Suspend Polyzone, Talstar P, and Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide, just to name a few.

    Q
Will Suspend SC kill bark beetles that are killing my pine & cedar trees here in Colorado?
    A

Suspend SC will not kill Bark Beetles. Bark Beetles are very hard to treat for as they get into the vein of the tree. Our best recommendation is to cut down and chip the tree. Then you can apply Permethrin SFR to uninfested trees to protect them.

  • Asked by Brandi from Vancouver, Wa

    Q
Will Suspend SC work to kill carpet beetle larvae and eggs?
It's been 6 months since I seen a carpet beetle in my home since spraying with Suspend. I sprayed outside and spot treated indoor. I also dusted DE around baseboards lately because I still see the beetle larvae once in a while on walls/baseboards. What do you recommend? Should I spray the Suspend on all baseboards in home? I also vacuum twice a week and launder everything in closets every 6 months.
    A

Suspend SC should be applied to cracks and crevices where the larvae hide and can be done every 21 days.  Suspend will not kill eggs.  We have  great information here at the bottom of the page that can explain treatment needed as well.

I have small children and a dog. What do I use for indoor pest control?
I have 2 small children, and a dog. I live in North Texas and have problems with ants, roaches, and crickets. What should I use inside the house?
    A

A general insecticide, such as Suspend SC, can be used indoors to kill and prevent ants, roaches, crickets, and various other insects.  This product is mixed with water and applied around baseboards and cracks and crevices.  Be sure to keep pets and children out of the area until the product has dried completely, usually1-2 hours. The mixing rate of Suspend SC is 0.25-1.5 fl oz per gallon of water.  For general pest control, we recommend using the 0.25 fl oz per gallon of water rate.
