    Q
Does Suspend SC work to get rid of June Bugs? Does it also work on the larvae and eggs in the lawn?
    How should it be applied?
    A
Suspend Sc will help eliminate adult June bugs that contact treated areas. Suspend SC should be diluted with water at the listed usage rate on the product label and applied when the pests are present. Thorough coverage is required and higher volumes of water may be necessary to ensure both the top and underside of the leaves of the foliage are sprayed. Suspend SC will not work to control insect eggs or for grubs (larval form of beetles). Most insecticides will not kill insect eggs because the eggs are protected by their hard outer shell. For grub control in your lawn you can use one of our grub control granule products such as Dylox or Merit Granules.

Can I use Suspend SC on my tomato plants and peach trees to control Japanese beetles?
We have so many Japanese beetles this year and they are eating my flowers and my garden plants is it safe to spray Suspend s c on my tomatoes plants and peach tree's and our other foods
    A

Suspend SC is not labeled to be sprayed on any type of edible vegetation and we do not recommend doing so. • Asked by Melany from Milwaukee, Wi

    Q
What is the best (and safest) product to get rid of centipedes?
I live in a four-unit apartment building. There is a partially covered sump pump in the basement.
    A

Suspend SC would be a good choice to use around the inside and outside of your home to eliminate centipedes. Suspend SC is safe for people and pets when used as directed on the product label.  Indoors you can apply Suspend SC to door frames, window frames, places where utilities enter into the structure, and any other place where the insects can gain entry. Outdoors you should apply the product to door frames, window frames, places where utilities enter into the structure, around the bottom of the foundation and out onto the ground directly around the foundation. You can also limit favorable conditions that the centipedes need to thrive.

    Remove Favorable Conditions

    • Fix leaky faucets or pipes and dry up wet or damp areas where centipedes thrive
    • Remove outdoor harborages near the home that hold moisture (compost, wood, or leaf piles, etc).
    • Store firewood off the ground at least 20 feet away from the home
    • Water your lawn in the morning so that it will be dry by afternoon
    • Do not over mulch flower beds, since soggy mulch is an ideal harborage for centipedes

    Q
My Tropical plants have scale. Will Suspend SC kill scale?
    A
Suspend SC is labeled for scale insects when they are still in the "crawler" stage. If the scale insects on your plants are past this stage or if you are not sure what stage they are in we recommend you contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the mater gardener on staff. The master gardener can help with an accurate insect ID and also offer guidance on what will work best on the type of plant and insect you are dealing with.

    Q
Will suspend SC stain my vinyl siding if I spray the entire exterior of my home.
We live in a heavily wooded area. Other pesticides have stained our siding in the past. If sprayed directly on the vinyl siding (I plan on spraying the entire exterior of my home) will it stain...ever...?
    A
Suspend SC is a water based insecticide that should not stain anything that water itself would not stain. Having said that we always recommend that you test any product you choose on a small inconspicuous area to be sure staining will not occur. Sometimes old paint can be an issue when using any product.

    Q
Can Suspend SC be used on my dock to control spiders?
I am concerned about spraying the dock on the overspray getting into the lake. Will Suspend SC hurt the fish and wildlife in the lake? Is this the best product to use around the house and the dock?
    A
Suspend SC is toxic to aquatic life and care should be taken to make sure it does not get into the water. We do carry Essentria IC3 which can be safely used around water as it not toxic to fish or other aquatic animals. Essentria IC3 is labeled for spiders as well as many other insects and would be a good choice for you.

    Q
    Spraying Suspend SC ON LUGGAGE
With major Bed Bug Infestations accross the United States and Hotels and Motels being a considerable risk i was wonder if spraying suspend sc on luggage would help minimize the chances of bed beds from hitch hiking , and also if there is a health risk to .
    A
Suspend SC is not labeled for use on luggage most likely because of the risk of it getting on clothing that you will then wear next to your skin. We do carry JT Eaton Bedbug Luggage Spray that is specifically formulated to use on luggage and even on beds in hotel rooms. Using the JT Eaton luggage spray would help minimize the chance of spreading bedbugs back to your home. You should also read our article How to Avoid Hotel Bedbugs so that you will be more informed on what to do or what to avoid doing while you travel to help minimize the chance that you will bring home bedbugs with you.

  • Asked by Bryan from Raleigh, Nc

    Q
Can Suspend SC be used in my truck to kill spiders that have nested? How safe is it for such a small area?
    A
Suspend SC is actually labeled for use in trucks but the label most likely intends it to be used in commercial trucks and only in the cargo areas of these trucks. We recommend that you use a product such as D-Force Aerosol. D-Force is actually labeled for use on the interior of buses and recreational vehicles and it is labeled for spiders. Be sure to keep treatments to cracks and crevices only and vent the vehicle for about an hour before re-entry.

    Q
Tiny black bugs in crevices and corners of carpet. Don't go into kitchen or anywhere else.
They are so small that they almost look like mold but I have dug up a couple and they are hard shelled, tiny bugs. They like moisture because when I shampooed the carpet, they got worse. When I steamed the carpet, they got worse. I can't stand it, please help! will this work?
    A
Unfortunately without seeing the insect we have no way to identify it. We recommend you either call a professional pest control company and have them come out and do a free inspection (most companies offer a free inspection/identification) or take samples of the insect to your local cooperative extension office to have the insects identified. Once you have the insects identified we can help you select the products you will need to eliminate them.

  • Asked by Judy from Englewood Nj
    10/18/2011
    Q
Can Suspend SC be used to destroy or control clothes moths?
    A
Suspend SC can help control clothing moths if it is sprayed on infested areas. The most important part of clothes moth control is finding the source and thoroughly cleaning the item(s) or disposing of the item(s) all together. Failure to do so will lead to poor results. Clothes moth eggs generally hatch out within 10 days during warmer temperatures and two weeks or longer during colder temperatures. Spraying a second time will help kill the adults but unless the larva are targeted you may continue to need additional treatments. Please take a moment to read our article How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths to learn more about this pest.

    Q
Will Suspend SC kill German roaches?
    A
Suspend SC is labeled for roaches, including German roaches, and should do a great job helping you eliminate the infestation. We recommend that in addition to a concentrated liquid insecticide like Suspend SC you also use a high quality roach bait gel such as Advion roach Bait Gel to help get the roaches that hide in places where you cannot spray (cabinets, counter tops, drawers) as well as an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches. You can purchase both of these products together in our Roach Control Kit #1.
