    Q
    Will Suspend SC kill symphylans?
will suspend SC kill symphylans aka garden centipedes?
    A
Suspend SC would probably kill symphylans that came into contact with it, but this product cannot be used in an edible garden. Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is labeled for garden symphylan and can be used on edibles. Surface sprays offer limited control for garden centipedes because of the pest's ability to establish deep into the soil. You should also pack soil well before planting to reduce populations of this pest.

    Q
Can Suspend SC be used to control ticks? If so, at what mixing ratio?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled for treating ticks outdoors. You should mix 1.5 fluid ounces per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. We recommend adding an insect growth regulator (IGR) such as Pivot 10 to impede the insects reproductive cycle. Q
I have a dog that eats bugs. Will Suspend SC be harmful if she eats bugs that have been killed by Suspend SC?
    veterinarian
    A

If your pet eats insects that were killed by Suspend SC, there is only enough product for it to kill the insect in touches so there is a reduced risk for your pet. They will have to consume quite a few to be affected by the dead pests.

If you pet does show any signs of illness, we would recommend that you contact a veterinarian.

    Q
Will Suspend SC kill bed bugs?
    A
Suspend SC will kill most strains of bed bugs. However, we do not recommend Suspend any longer. There are resistant strains of bed bugs Suspend will not kill. This is why we recommend one of our Bed Bug Kits.

  • Asked by Robert from Tulllahoma, Tn
    07/17/2014
    Q
Is Suspend SC effective in controlling/exterminating brown recluse spiders?
Is Suspend safe to use around children and pets?
    A
Suspend SC is great for treating spiders and their food source (which naturally drives them away from the area). It is safe for children and pets if used as directed on product label. Make sure they are not in the area during the application of the product and when the surfaces are wet. Once the treated areas are dry, they can re-enter. We recommend mixing 1.5 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft and treating monthly on the exterior of the structure and once every 90 days to indoor cracks and crevices.

    Q
Will Suspend SC kill bird mites?
mites are on chicken and dogs and now us
    A

Yes, Suspend SC will kill bird mites only in poultry houses, it cannot be used in the home for treatment. Suspend SC should NOT be applied to the chickens, dogs or humans for the treatment of bird mites. Bird mites are very difficult to treat and control so in addition to just spraying you also need to vacuum regularly and thoroughly.  Also the use of some other key products in addition to Suspend SC will help treat the mites faster.  Please read our "How to Get Rid of Bird Mites" article for further recommendations.

    Q
Spray frenquency for mix of Temprid and Suspend SC
I'm planning to mix Temprid with Suspend SC for bed bugs treatment. According to the label, Temprid should be applied once a week; Suspend SC should be applied every three weeks. My question is how often I should apply the spray of the mix of Temprid and Suspend SC. Thank you!
    A
There would be no need to mix Suspend SC with Temprid. In fact, we recommend to only use Temprid coupled with dusting in wall voids. You want to reapply Temprid once every 7-14 days for bed bugs.

    Q
Which pesticide would be effective in Florida environment? Suspend? Cy-Kick? Other recommendations?
Is there much difference in effectiveness of synthetic pyrethrins?
    A
It really depends on if you have a specific issue? For general pest control in FL, Cy kick works wonders. Cy-kick CS liquid concentrate insecticide provides 90 days of full-throttle killing power, controlling insects indoors and outdoors. With a broad spectrum label including spiders, ants, mosquitoes, bees, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, bed bugs, silverfish, ticks, wasps, wood infesting borers and more, you don’t have to pick and choose between different insecticides for different pests.

    Q
    Suspends vs Tempo
Which has less odor ? Which has the most coverage i.e. more area for same price? Suspends has 16oz and Tempo has 8oz. Would I be smarter to buy Suspends? I have been doing my own spraying for years but never asked the question. I thought I recall Suspend had a slight odor and tempo had none at all.
    A
We would recommend Suspend Polyzone.  Suspend polyzone is ordorless and allows for a longer residual at 90 days. Please let us know if you have anymore questions.

    Q
    Suspend SC or Cyzmic CS
Hi, I had this pest control company and they were using Suspend SC and Cyzmic CS around the house. Not sure about the difference between the two but I want to do it myself now. Do I need to buy and use both at the same time or will one product will get the job done? Thanks
    A
Both Suspend SC and Cyzmic CS are great general purpose pest control products and treat many of the same types of insects. Depending on the particular type of insect(s), one might be betther than the other. We recommend hat you make sure that the pest(s) you are treating for are on the product label and mix accordingly as instructed. Typically, you are able to get the same results with either the Suspend SC or Cyzmic CS. There would not be a reason to use both. Pleae let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Asked by Cory from Irmo, Sc

    Q
I purchased Talstar P and absolutely love it. Should I purchase another product and alternate?
I was wondering if the insects would develop an immunity over time to the Talstar P. If so what product should I buy to use every other time, altering with Talstar P?
    A

    We appreciate your business!

It is possible that certain strains of bugs could build up a resistance to certain products. Alternating products would be a good idea. We would recommend using Suspend SC. It works the same way as Talstar P, but it has a different active ingredient. It can be used indoors and outdoors. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Is Suspend SC safe for a home with infant and pets?
An exterminator is going to use this product in my home, and I am concerned about safety for my 5 month old son, dog and two cats.
    A
Yes, Suspend SC is safe once it is dry for children and pets. We would not recommend spraying when they are in the room. Once the product dries, it is safe for the children and pets to return to the room. It is colorless and virtually odorless so it will not be detable by them. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
How can we stop Daddy Long Legs insects from coming into our house? 16 so far. We have children & pets
    A

We would recommend using Cyper WP. This can be sprayed around the baseboards and cracks and crevices indoors. Outdoors, you will spray around the perimeter of your home. You will use two scoops per gallon of water. This is residual product and will work for up to 3 months indoors and 30 days outdoors. It can leave a powdery residue because it is a wettable powder. Once Cyper WP is dry, it is safe for pets and children to come into the rooms that were sprayed.

If you are wanting something that will dry clear, we would recommend using Suspend SC. You will use this around the cracks and crevices indoors and around the perimeter outdoors. You will use 0.75-1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Once Suspend SC is dry, it is safe for children and pets to return to the area.

Both of these products will kill and keep killing the spiders.

    Q
I need an effective inside spider eliminator that is safe to use around children.
    A
We would recommend using Suspend SC. It is a very good residual product that can be sprayed indoors and outdoors. Indoors, you will spray along the baseboards and cracks and crevices. Outdoors, you can spray around the perimeter of your home and in places where the spiders would reside. Once the product is dry, it is safe for your children to return to the room. It also dries clear.

Is it acceptable to spray under the oven and frig. w/o moving them to access the cracks and crevices?
    A
If you are unable to access the cracks and crevices behind appliances, using the wand on your hand pump sprayer, reach as far under the appliance as you can to apply the solution to the cracks and crevices and in between the appliances.
