According to the Talstar P product label:
Chinch Bugs infest the base of grass plants and are often found in the thatch layer. Irrigation of the grass area before treatment will optimize the penetration of the insecticide to the area where the chinch bugs are located. Use higher volume applications if the thatch layer is excessive or if a relatively long
mowing height is being maintained. Chinch Bugs can be one of the most difficult pests to control in grasses and the higher application rates (Up to 1 fluid oz. per 1000 square feet) may be required to control populations that contain both nymphs and adults during the middle of the summer.
Talstar P is a great general use insecticide that can be used both inside and outside for over 75 different pests. It only kills the insects that contact a treated surface. Dominion 2L is a non repellent termiticide that can also be used a systemic insecticide for the listed pests. Dominion will help to eliminate more than just want contacts a treated surface or treated soil, social insects will crawl over the product without detecting it, and spread it to each other by touch and food sharing, eventually eliminating the entire infestation.
How long it takes the insects to die after they come into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors. It will depend on the maturity of the insect and type of insect as well as how long they stayed on the treated area, how long it has been since the area was treated and the concentration that was used to treat the area. Typically it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day or so for them to die
Talstar P (Talstar One) is not an instant kill for roaches so it will take time to eliminate them with the product and an IGR. The roaches also have to come in contact with the area that is treated with Talstar P. If you are not seeing success with this product and have been using it for a while, we would recommend using a product with a different active ingredient, such as Demand CS. We would also recommend adding a roach bait gel to your treatment program, if you are not already using one. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more information and tips.
Talstar P is the #1 recommended product for bagworm control. You will need to use 1 oz. of Talstar per gallon of water. Applications should start in April and continue monthly through June. Be sure foliage is sprayed thoroughly to the point of runoff to achieve adequate coverage. Talstar can be applied with a hose end sprayer, but it is best to use a hand pump sprayer if possible to ensure the most even coverage.
There is no valid reason to mix Suspend SC and Talstar P together. Talstar P is a synthetic pyrethroid and Suspend SC already contains a synthetic pyrethroid, so there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with this overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.
We recommend applying Talstar anytime of the day EXCEPT during the middle of the day. The key with mosquitoes is to apply to the underside of the leaves as that is where the adults lay during the day.

We recommend performing a small jar test for compatibility any time you are using two new products together for the first time. Be mindful that you are only applying your herbicide in the correct areas.
