You do not need a suite when applying Talstar P Professional Insecticide but a respirator is needed when applying in non-ventilated areas. They just recommend that you wear a long sleeve shirt, pants, socks, closed toed shoes, and gloves when applying the product.
Yes, Talstar P Professional is safe for kids/pets. However, as with any pesticide application, certain safety measures need to be followed while applying. You will need to remove all pets and children from the area when spraying. Once the treated area is completely dry, then any pets or children may re enter the area. Please read over the label for proper instructions.

Talstar P Professional Insecticide is not labeled for use on canvas tents.
Talstar P is not a selective insecticide and it will kill any insects that come into contact with treated areas. You can reduce the risk to your bees by keeping applications away from areas where the bees are actively foraging and at times when the bees are not active in general
Talstar P Professional Insecticide can be mixed at 1 oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. For your 3-gallon tank you will need 3 oz.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is labeled to be used on yellow jackets. You will use 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Applications should be done at night when the pests are alight. Spray heavily in areas where they hide and breed. Apply again only if there is new insect activity. This would be an excellent residual product for the yellow jackets and hornets.
If you know where the nests are and can readily reach them, we would recommend using Wasp-X. This product can be used up to 15 feet away from the nest. This product will foam and cover the nest. It will provide a knockdown and fast kill of hornets and yellow jackets.
ULV, Thermal or Propane Foggers produce micro droplets that are much smaller in size than the size droplets of a mist blower or handpump sprayer. Fogging tends to move and drift further than a mist due to the droplets being smaller in size. A lot of fogging solutions require the use of kerosene or oil in the mixture which can potentially damage surfaces and often have a strong smell. Fogging Solutions only provide immediate kill and may last anywhere from a few hours to 1-2 days.
Handpump sprayers, backpack sprayers, and mist blowers allow applicators to use microencapsulated insecticides for longer residual outdoors. Using freshwater for mixed solutions allows for applications to be virtually odorless and will not stain or leave an unpleasant scent. Sprayers and mist blowers offer the option of tank mixing other class insecticides for longer and better control.
For example, if treating heavy mosquito populations, we would recommend using 3 products. Talstar P (residual insecticide) with ExciteR (pyrethrin/synergist/knockdown) and Insect Growth Regulator (stops the growth cycle of juvenile insects). These 3 products can be tank mixed in the same tank and applied all at the same time.
When applied as directed Talstar P (Talstar One) is safe for people and pets to be around after the treated area has dried.
Yes, Talstar P Professional Insecticide is safe for pets once dry. Just keep them out of areas while treating & they may return once the product has dried (generally in a couple hours). You can spray just the outside but keep in mind this will not detour them. If you are seeing them inside, you will want to spray indoors as well.
A roach sprayed with Talstar P Professional Insecticide should not pose much of a risk to pets. Keep in mind that you use a small amount of product, dilute that in a gallon of water, and then distribute that over a large area. The amount of product that is on the roaches is very tiny. A dog would generally need to eat their weight in bugs to be affected. However, if your dogs shows any signs of sickness, we would advise taking them to the vet
Talstar P has a shelf life of 3-5 years from the date of purchase as long as it is stored away from extreme heat or cold.
Be sure that you do not expect rain for at least 2 hours after Talstar P (Talstar One) application. Once dried Talstar leaves a residual for 2-3 months.
Talstar P is labeled to safely be used on trees, bushes and other ornamental plants
While Talstar P is labeled for beetles in general, Talstar P is not labeled to be broadcast sprayed over carpeted areas for carpet beetle control. Talstar P can only be used as a crack and crevice application indoors. For indoor carpet beetle control, you may want to consider a product such as Nyguard Plus. This product contains an insecticide to kill the roaming adults and an insect growth regulator to stop the harder-to-kill immature beetles from reaching a reproductive state which in turn will break the cycle of infestation. As an added bonus this product also contains a deodorizer for carpet applications.

Talstar is safe for use around pets when used according to the label. You should always keep children and pets away from the area while you are treating, and then once the treatment is dry it is perfectly safe to allow pets to re-enter the area. Talstar is also labeled for use on outdoor plants.
Talstar P is not labeled for squash bugs however, an alternative option would be Sevin Concentrate which can be used on edibles and is labeled for squash bug control as well as many other pests.
Talstar P can be used in the same sprayer you use for other pesticides as long as the sprayer is rinsed after each application. We recommend to rinse the sprayer out at least three times. For good maintenance and to help neutralize anything left in the sprayer, we recommend using a tank cleaner such as Neutralize Spray Tank Cleaner Dry.
Yes, Talstar P Professional Insecticide is a great option for you as it covers so many different insects.
Talstar P is not labeled to treat snails. This does not mean that it will not treat them however we recommend contacting FMC 800-321-1362 for a more specific answer. We recommend using a granular bait like Niban Fine Granular Bait to eradicate snails.
