Tempo dust does the trick!
By Steve on 08/06/2011
Every year I end up with several yellow jacket nests in our lawn due to lots of mole activity leaving tunnels. In the past I had soem success with piuring hot soupy water down the holes into the nests at night, but many times the water just goes down the mole tunnel away from the nest, leaving the yellow jackets to come out and attack. I had no luck with this method this year, so I tried sprinkling Tempo dust (using the $13 bellows applicator) in and around the holes to each nest, and there were no signs of yellow jackets just 24 hours later in all cases, and no more stings while mowing! It is a lot safer applying the dust at night and I let the yellow jackets do the work of bring the Tempo dust into the nest (no matter where it is underground). There is plenty Tempo dust left, all ready for next year.

Worked Great
By Jim on 08/23/2011
From my experience it seems that wasps and hornets have learned to nest in places that are inaccessible to the hardware store liquid jet sprays. "Dusting" the nests worked great, because after repeated liquid shots directly into the entrance, it just did not get to them. After I puffed the nest it immediately took down most and after a few days, the remainder likely tracked the dust in. NO MORE WASPS buzzing me while I tried to paint! You should highly recommend a "duster" to be purchased with the product. I had an old one, and it was no good. And the product is not as effective unless one can blow it way in there.
To my very great surprise it did work.

I had a big wasp (yellow jackets) nest behind the brick wall of my house. They found a space between two bricks and built a nest between brick wall and inner plywood wall. There was heavy traffic trough this nest entrance, every single second one or two wasps left and another couple arrived. Whatever I used from HomeDepot whether it was a foam-spray or instant-wasp-killing spray - nothing worked, I think because their nest was deep inside and inaccessible. At the beginning I put just one teaspoon of the “Tempo 1% Dust” into little “Bulb Duster” (that I bought along with Tempo Dust) and at night I made three quick puffs into the space between bricks. Next morning wasps were flying like nothing happened. So, next night I filled third of the bulb duster (couple of full table spoons) with Tempo Dust and puffed whole content of the duster into the space between bricks. Next morning just couple of wasps were flying by the entrance of the nest, but couldn't enter it. Starting from the next day now wasps any more, they all gone.

Wasps are gone
By Rob on 09/20/2011
It took 2 applications, but the pesky wasps are gone from under my cement step in the back. I was able to get close enough to caulk up the openings where they were getting into their nest area. A word of advice: do the dusting right after the sun goes down so the wasp activity will be minimal. Also, protect yourself; my wife made me a netting that I put over my head, and she taped any openings in my clothes where the wasps could potentially get in. Bottom line: the Tempo dust works.

Tempo Dust is Awesome!
By Ruth on 10/13/2011
There's not enough time or words to say what a great product! When I read the reviews and saw that others were going through the same anguish that I was, I had to take a chance on it. Now I can add to their stories of success and say "thank you" for the peace of mind that I now have! The wasp problem was underneath the siding that overlapped cement block. They found a very small opening and I'm sure building their nest in the block! All of the other products I tried were useless! A one time application of Tempo 1% Dust with the Bellow Duster and it is a done deal. Thank you for the product and for the super customer service!
Tempo Dust - PERFECT!!!
By Ruthella on 11/19/2011
My husband has been stung this year 3 times by Hornets & Yellow Jackets, so we NEEDED something to HELP us kill them. We tried so so many other things that you could buy off the shelf with NO LUCK. Spent a lot of $$ on these so-called products that kill bees but they did NOT. Then I found this GREAT web site called Do MY own Pest Control, WOW was I impressed with the site and the products they offered. I had used TERMINIX for over 20 years and DROPPED there service after I found this Co. Not only do they have all the things you need to do it yourself they have GREAT PRICES too. The Tempo 1% dust KILLED ALL THE BEES just like the site said it would within a day...They offer ALL you need to do it right. The videos on the site are so very HELPFUL to make sure you do the job right. I got the hand held blower to go along with the dust so to make sure it was done correctly. I don't think there is a better place to buy the things you need to do the job yourself safely and right. I'm happy and will be back if I need anything else to help me fight the BUG WAR...
Works very well!

Tempo 1% Dust
By Acergurl on 04/23/2012
I don't want to speak to soon but - So far so good! I bought this to get rid of my wasp & yellow jacket problem. After reading all the reviews on all the other DUSTS' like the Drione , Delta & this Tempo 1% Dust, I decided to give this one a try. It sounded like the one I needed. I was a little skeptical at first because I just didn't think it was gonna work. After I initially put in all the areas where I had my bee issue, I waited about 3 days & I still saw them but it was still getting cold during some days so I wasn't sure if I put enough in. Like some other reviewers, I then put down a second application in the same areas & it seems to actually be working. It does take a couple days for it to work as the bees have to walk in it & leave & then come back to the nest & it kills them. I don't think I put enough in the first application because it was the first time I used it so I wanted to use it sparingly. (hence the reason I had to do it a second time,) This size bottle will go a long way!! Just make sure you you wear goggles & a mask while applying it because it will tend to fly everywhere. Apply this when it is getting dark or real early in the morning when the bees are less active. AN EXTRA NOTE: You will need to purchase the "Bellow Hand Duster" to apply it correctly!! It is priced at $12.99 on here & it is so worth it !!!!
Works Great

This dust is awesome. I bought it to get rid of Carpenter Bees that were around my porch and roof. I put one application around where the bees were entering and exiting and the next day we found three, big, dead carpenter bees along with horse flys, black flies and a couple big beetles. This dust works on alot of different insects, little pricey but works excellent and you dont need to use alot. I would recommend it to anyone with bees.
Great against Bees
By Ken on 07/19/2012
I own a hotel, and I hired 2 experts and they charged around $200 for each spot. But the problem was not solved, bees would return within couple weeks. Tired of having to pay for that, I searched and came across this product. And I do regret giving money to those "experts". This product took care of the bees, and its been almost 2 weeks and I have not seen any activity. I greatly recommend this product.

This stuff is awesome! I had to pay an exterminator $118.00 for him to do the same thing and when they came back, I did a Google search and found Do My Own Pest Control. Now for $34.00, I have a quart of the dust and dead Japanese hornets! Best Deal I could find! Thanks Guys

It worked!
By Carol on 08/11/2012
First of all--very fast shipping! product arrived in a couple of days. My husband used it outside our house, in the soffits and corner of the garage/house. Within two days the were no signs of our pesky little nusiances. We can acutally sit out on our back patio again with out getting buzzed and pestered. And there is no more continuous buzzing in the soffits. The dust works great by getting carried into the small tight places that otherwise can not be gotten too. If you have tried other products before-with no luck, you should really try this one! It worked for us, hopefully it will work for you!
Tempo 1% dust and B&G Bulb
By Gary on 08/16/2012
I spent $59 on the dust, bulb. I applied the dust to two nests of wasps and yellow jackets in the ends of logs on our full log home. The pests are gone. It was simple, saved me about $100 because our pest guy charged us $75 a nest in prior years. I have the bulb and 90% of the dust left. Fill the bulb to about 50% with dust and shake the bulb while holding it with the nozzle down. You can then apply dust by squeezing the bulb with it held upright. If you need to apply more, repeat above again and reapply. It works GREAT!!!!
As advertised

Useful (I think)
By Sue on 08/20/2012
Bought to try and control cicada bee invasion. Had about 40 holes in the yard. Dusted each hole with Tempo and within a day saw a drastic reduction in the bees. However this might have been due to the end of the their natural cycle or it might have been the dust. We really are not sure as the population in my neighbors yard died down as well around the same time and they did not dust. Hoping that the dust took care of the larvae/babies and the queens in the nest. Will know better how effective it was next summer I guess. At least next summer I will be prepared to start our counter attack at the first sign of the critters!

I had about 4 places in the sod around my front steps where yellowjackets had dug nests. I was really worried that one of my kids would get stung. I put some Tempo dust around the holes and within 24 hours ALL of the yellowjackets were gone. I haven't seen a single one since!

The only thing that worked for yellow jackets
By Tom on 09/02/2012
I had yellow jackets that were landing on concrete block a couple of feet from the ground then crawling under the siding and apparently going into their nest somewhere. I tried several different sprays and none of them worked. I couldn't get it into the hole apparently. The only option I had was to lay down dust in hopes that they would carry it back to their nest. I bought Delta Dust based on my own research. I applied that dust on 4 occasions with no effect. I then sent an e-mail to this sight since I had dealt with them before and they recommended Tempo Dust for yellow jackets. After one application at night I would say 95% of them were gone when I came home from work a 5:00PM. It continued working the the next day. There were a couple still hanging around after 3 days. They actually made a new hole in the mortar that I could see now. The hole was below where I had applied the dust the first time. After one more puff of Delta Dust in the hole they were completely gone.
Tempo1% dust worked for us
By Charles on 09/08/2012
We ended up with three nests of yellow jackets to deal with in one weekend. Our dog and our neighbors dog roused a huge nest unknown to us previously and in the resultant attacking swarm, we each got stung at least three times each, and the dogs multiple stings as well. We needed to get rid all three nests. We searched online to find the most effective agent and Tempo 1% dust seemed to be it. So we ordered a bottle and a squeeze tube. When it arrived, we duly waited for night time and stole up to the two holes that we needed to eliminate. I first soaked the opening with wasp/hornet spray, and then inserted the nozzle and squeezed out several healthy bursts. We repeated this at the second nest and called it a night. The next morning I checked on activity and one of the nests was still showing some. Yellow jackets were still flyig in and out, but they seemed lethargic. At the second nest, I'd actually plugged the hole with dust and no insects were visible. I checked again the following day and the first nest was inert, no activity at all. The second nest still showed no activity. Our neighbors borrowed the dust bulb because their methods of dealing with the nest had not worked. After two days they too reported that the nest was dead, no activity at all. So three nests and three confirmed kills. I'm keeping Tempo 1% around from now on. Charles Scott
Awesome stuff

Two applications did it! Puffed it in the entrance at night three days apart....didn't take much either and I had a huge, huge amount of yellow jackets. Highly recommended product. By the way, the company got the stuff here super fast!! I am impressed all the way around. Thanks!

My wife told me there was a hornet's nest in the shed by her garden. While I was looking to see where they were my wife decided to show me where by throwing a rock at the shed near me. She was right it was a big hornet's nest and they found me before I found them. I got my hand on some of this and when my wife wasn't around to help I let 'em have it. The hornets were dead the next day. Lots sooner than it took me to recover. Great stuff.

Great for Mason Wasp and Yellow Jackets
By Josh on 03/20/2013
I had a large amount of Red and Black Mason Wasp and Yellow Jackets building nests in my exterior wall through my wood siding. I used this Tempo dust in every hole or crack I could find and within a day I saw dead Wasps everywhere. This is highly effective stuff. It's been several days and I haven't seen any live Wasps or Yellow Jackets around. Now, I just need to calk the holes in the siding shut to prevent them from ever moving back in. I also used this to stop ants from entering through a small crack near my door. Stopped those little guys too. I highly recommend this product if you have a problem with pests entering through a hole or crack. One will get the powder on them and then carry it back to the nest and get the rest. I would suggest getting a bulb duster to apply this. I just used the bottle end and it can make a mess.
