    Q
Can Temprid SC be mixed with Gentrol or Talstar?
    A

You can mix Temprid SC Insecticide, Talstar, or any other appropriate insecticide with Gentrol IGR. However, you would not mix Temprid SC and Talstar together; this would be a redundant application of insecticides.

    Q
Can I use Temprid SC at the same time with Advion gel baits?
I'm treating a unit with Temprid SC for cock roaches and bed bugs...the bed bug issue is resolved but the cock roach issue is on going...wanting to add baits in addition to the Temprid SC...the cockroach population has been diminished greatly but wanted to add additional treatment...how do i use both...any helpful tips...please thank you
    A

Yes, Advion Roach Bait Gel can be used at the same time as Temprid SC. Make sure you put the bait in areas where you cannot spray, such as inside cabinets, drawers, etc. Do not spray the bait because this will contaminate it and the roaches will not consume it.

It is also recommended that you mix the Temprid SC with an insect growth regulator, such as Gentrol IGR. This will stop the life cycle of the roaches. This lasts approximately three months. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.

  • Asked by Oz from Sydney, Nsw
    05/19/2015
    Q
What is the best way to get rid of German cockroaches in restaurants?
I am a pest controller in Sydney, Australia. I spray Temprid on skirting boards, under the appliances and fridges and cookers, then use gels in cabinets, corners. Is that effective? Thanks
    A

When dealing with roaches, treatments should be limited to cracks, crevices and wall voids as this is where roaches spend most of their time. Using a combination of roach bait, insecticide, and an insect growth regulator will usually be needed.

    • Apply roach baits such as Avert Dry Flowable or MaxForce FC in cracks or crevices where roach feces have been found.

    • Apply an insecticide dust such as Delta Dust into wall voids where plumbing pipes exist and in wall voids behind stoves or dishwashers. These walls are most likely to have cockroaches hiding inside because of the humidity provided by the pipes.

    • Liquid insecticides combined with insect growth regulators will also offer some control. Temprid SC and Gentrol IGR are labeled to spray in food handling establishments for roach control. (ALWAYS READ PRODUCT LABELS BEFORE APPLICATION) Precaution should be used when applications are being performed. Apply in cracks and crevice at low pressure setting, being extremely careful not to splash or allow runoff that could potentially contaminate food prep surfaces. Protective barrier applications of insecticides such as Temprid SC should be made on a regular basis on the outside of structure to exclude insects from entering.

    Q
I have been told Temprid SC and Termidor can be mixed for ants; is this correct?
    A

You do not want to mix Temprid with Termidor for ants. Termidor is considered a non - repellent and a stand alone product. You would dilute 0.8 oz per gallon water.

  • Asked by Denise from Chicago, Il

    Q
Would it be alright if I mixed 4 ml of Temprid in a half a gallon of water for bed bugs?
I don't think the area I'm treating will need a full gallon of this product. Will it be OK if I cut it down to a half of a gallon with 4 ml of Temprid mixed in.
    A

Temprid SC Insecticide can be mixed in smaller amounts of water as long as the dilution rate is halved as well so that should be fine.

  • Asked by Austin from Los Angeles, Ca
    04/10/2017
    Q
Can I mix Temprid SC with Cy-Kick CS?
    A

There is no valid reason to mix the Temprid SC with the Cy-Kick CS as they are both synthetic pyrethrins that would work just fine on their own.  You should never mix 2 insecticides together unless both labels specifically state they are safe for mixing.  Insecticides are very specifically formulated to work with certain ratios and adding any other chemical to the mix can offset the ability of the product to work properly.

    Q
Does Temprid SC prevent wasp from building nest or just kill them?
    A

Temprid SC will just kill wasps that come in contact with the product. It does not prevent them from building nests in the area. The recommended mixing ratio is 16 ml per gallon of water. This can be used every 30 days outdoors.

Please check out our Wasp Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent wasps.

Suspend SC and Temprid SC are both labeled to eradicate spiders and their food source. We do offer Temprid SC in our Spider Control Kit. Q
Is there a trick to using the Temprid SC Insecticide bottle?
I am know the 16ML smaller portion is to measure for the gallon ratio, but how do you fill it from the main body? It is connected by a tube?
    A

When measuring Temprid  be sure to keep the lid on the right side closed. Remove the lid on the left side and squeeze the bottom of the bottle until the product goes up the straw and into the measure cup.

  • Asked by Cathy
    09/15/2013
    Q
How long do I have to wait before vacuuming after Temprid SC treatment?
I had Temprid SC applied along the floor/wall edges, corners, baseboards, etc., for cockroach control. I have hardwood floors in my apartment, and know I probably shouldn't mop or wash the floors so as to not eliminate the residual pesticides. But for general cleaning purposes, when can I vacuum the areas? I want to make sure I'm not removing any residual pesticide.
    A
As soon as the Temprid SC has dried you are free to vacuum normally. Only mopping, steaming or scrubing will pull the product off the baseboards once it has dried.

  • Asked by Ellis from Brooklyn, Ny
    07/30/2013
    Q
Can I spray Bedlam and Temprid SC insecticide in the same cracks and crevices?
    A

While Bedlam and Temprid SC are labeled to be applied in some of the same areas we would not recommend that this be done.  The products are best used in conjunction with each other to treat different areas.  Bedlam would be applied to the mattress folds and seams and spraying in cracks and crevices such as drawers and runners of drawers, bed frames, picture frames, underneath baseboards, bookcases corners etc. Temprid SC can be applied as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, along baseboards, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to box springs and bed frames.

Please take a few minutes to read over the Bedbug Treatment guide so that you may better understand what is needed to eliminate bedbugs in your home

  • Asked by Doug from San Diego, Ca
    06/27/2013
    Q
Why can't Temprid SC be used as a broadcast spray to carpets for bed bugs?
When I am treating for bed bugs, I tend to see them on the carpets walking around (on heavy infestations). The label for Temprid SC states to not fan spray or broadcast the entire carpet area. I feel like it would kill the wandering bed bugs on the carpet if it were allowed. I am wondering if it has been proven to get people sick or why it cannot be applied this way. thank you. Ps. Do you have any recommendations for a product to use to kill bed bugs on large carpeted areas?
    A
Temprid SC, along with many other bed bugs products, are not labeled to be used for treatments across carpet as these are not areas that bed bugs harbor. Although you may see them in heavy infestations crawling across carpets, they are only using those surfaces to get from Point A to Point B to hide in another crevice where the products will be waiting for them. Bed bugs do not like large open areas and will normally only be found in those areas when moving from one crevice to another to get closer to a food source. Vacuuming and steaming carpets is the best treatment for those areas as the bed bugs will come into contact with the places you have treated with the Temprid. If you have questions as to the safety concerns of the Temprid being sprayed on carpets, you can contact Bayer at 1-800-331-2867.

  • Asked by Harvey from Houston Tx.
    01/17/2018
    Q
Can you apply Temprid SC outdoors in cold weather?
    Freezing temps
    A

You shoud not apply Temprid SC or any other insecticide if temperatures are near or below freezing. This is a water-based product that could freeze in your sprayer. Also, it would be wasteful to spray in temperatures that cold because there would not be any insects surviving in those temperatures.
