Really works!

My lawn has been infested with bent grass for a number of years. The people at our local garden center could only recommend burning it off with roundup. Within a week of application the bent grass is dying and turning white. Now I can kill the new outcroppings before they get established and not have to reseed. This also kills some other stubborn coarse grasses and crab grass. Very satisfied. Highly recommend use of spreader sticker and blue turf mark with this product.

very handy in killing weeds in Northern grass

I had been seeing a lot of you tube videos regarding tenacity and its effectiveness. So I decided to order it and see if it actual would work on my lawn (mostly Kentucky blue grass and Fescue) as a post emergent herbicide. Weeds like crabgrass, plantain, chickweed, spotted spurge and purslane were starting to take my lawn over. I followed the direction and mixed 1/2 teaspoon tenacity per gallon along with adding in 1 1/2 tsp of Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker Non-Ionic Surfactant and finally Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye (I did 1 once per my tank) to know where I sprayed. These measurements cover 1000 sq feet which is 1 gallon in the sprayer but I then adjusted these measurements for a 4 gallon tank (Chapin Tree/Turf Pro 4 Gallon BackPack Sprayer) . I applied when temps were under 85 degrees and made sure no rain or automated sprinklers would interfere with its effectiveness. I actually kept any water off of the grass for a week to make sure it had ample time to absorb. What I observed was that weeds after 7 days started turning white, that lasted another 5-7 days, then by the 3rd week most weeds had wilted and died. The one weed that tenacity did not effect was spotted spurge but should have paid closer attention to label as that is not a weed it covers. I gave tenacity 4 out of 5 stars since it doesn't kill all weeds -does not kill spotted spurge which means I have to supplement this with another chemical.

Crabgrass contril

Tenacity worked great. All of my crabgrass is turning white. Obviously I used it as a post emergent. I am looking forward to next spring to apply as a pre emergent. (I used the surfactant product along with it as recommended for post emergent applications so I would definitely get this as well)

Bought this to kill my crabgrass. Had it bad this year. First application turned it white as it died, but was so bad that I needed another application. It does work but your lawn will be white where ever the dying crabgrass it. Worth 2 weeks of white lawn. it does work, If you need to kill crabgrass it does work.

Tenacity is in the process of killing test areas of the crabgrass in St Augustine lawn. I only tried one gallon in certain areas of the yard. It does turn the targeted weeds pure white, so they show up for a couple of weeks. I also have cats claw vine mixed with the crabgrass and the new growth ends of it are red, I hope it kills that also. I put it on in the evening, but the temperatures hit 90's and it has also turned some of the St Augustine white. I was only trying it in patches to see how it would work. I plan to wait until it cools into the low 80's to try it again. It's affecting basket weave weeds also

Tenacity is definitly killing my crabgrass after second application. It is killing all the other weeds in the yard without damaging the regular fescue and blue grass. Highly recommended. Only needs 1 teaspoon per 2 gallon sprayer.

I bought the tenacidy to use on crabgrass, but the grass was so stressed do to lack of rain I mixed it weak didn't see any real result I used Quinn kill in the past and now I can no longer buy it in ny it was by far the best for killing crabgrass

It took about ten days, but it definitely killing the crabgrass. This is the only effective crabgrass treatment that I've found that does not kill the lawn. I watched the YouTube video before purchasing, mixing, and applying. I was worried that I returned to watering schedule too soon since it took a week before the crabgrass began to die, but I guess my crabgrass was very hearty.

Bentgrass was starting to invade my yard. I applied my second application of Tenacity today and it appears to be doing the job. I was also surprised to see it also taking care of some other field type grasses. Anxious to see how the lawn responds next spring. Will definitely use the product in the future and recommend it to others.

Product does what it claims and has been instrumental in containing our bent grass infestation (live near a golf course) along with a variety of other undesirable seasonal guests. Love that it does not permenantly damage ornamental grasses which are often intermixed with the invaders. Easy to apply and less toxic than the alternatives. After much research and reading reviews I finally decided to try the more professional product( tenacity) instead of the big box store products. All I can say is I wish I would have used it sooner instead of wasting time and money with the other products. After two weeks crab grass and other weeds are just about completely dead. I was aware of the white appearance once the product began to kill the weeds but I didn't realize until then that I had more weeds than I was seeing initially. I have made two applications and loving the results so far. This is definitely my go to weed control product from now on.

This product definitely works. The Tenacity is pretty thick so you really need to get it mixed in. First couple days I didn't see anything but then the clover and other weeds started showing up yellow then white. I didn't have a flat tipped spray head, I would 100% recommend that. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that blue dye is a PITA. If you are spraying along edges of your lawn that have concrete I would recommend doing those areas BEFORE adding the dye. I was extremely careful but still had a few areas of overspray which I had to scrub off with a brush. The dye came off where the concrete was sealed but the other areas have lingering light blue stains now. Cleanup is a bit of a pain also. If you have a fairly square lawn and can easily keep track of where you've sprayed I would not get the dye.

Heard about this product on YouTube. We bought a neglected 4-acre property, and in the past 4 years, we had tried every product that we knew about, and never saw the results we wanted. Until, Tenacity herbicide!! This stuff is great and does what it says it will do. A little goes a long way, so don't be put off by the price for a "little bottle." It is super-concentrated. Because our property was so neglected for years, we simply repeated applications approximately every 6 weeks or so. And it WILL kill everything, so be careful around any trees/shrubs/flowers. Great stuff!

Did a great job, ready for some new grass.

I can't really rate this product by itself. The reason being is that I used this product in combination with Drive XLR8 and Bonide brush killer to nuke my yard this fall as a post emergent treatment. The reason I chose this product in my mix was because it covered the broadleaf weed category, and it did the job well. And The trio of product so far has done a great job. All the weed are dead in my yard, and the remaining grass is still healthy and ready to reclaim the lawn.

Herbicide kit

This is our second kit. We have done our entire yard . It took care of the bent grass, crabgrass,and clover.This is a great product. I would highly recommend. It is worth the price as it goes a long way. Use as directed to get maximum results. Thanks
