Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled safe for use on Floratam species and is only for use on St Augustine grown for sod.
Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled for use on pasture land, and a 90 day waiting period is required after an application until it is safe to allow animals to graze on treated areas.
Tenacity Herbicide, as well as any other herbicide, should not be applied to a lawn that is stressed due to drought conditions as you risk further damage being done to the lawn.
Tenacity Herbicide is only labeled to be used on Bermuda when it is fully dormant, otherwise it can be sensitive to applications and could harm it. It is not recommended for elimination of Bermuda or desired Bermuda turf.
We would recommend removing the dead bentgrass before planting your seed after using Tenacity Herbicide.
Tenacity Herbicide can last in the soil up to 30 days if used as a broadcast pre emergent treatment, so you would need to wait at least 30 days after an application before putting in any new seeds.
We recommend that you let the Tenacity Herbicide application dry completely and then applying the insecticide.
Tenacity Herbicide is not listed to control any type of vines not can it be used over juniper. We would recommend carefully treating using a non selective such as Roundup directly to the vine. This is best done if the vine is cut and applied directly using a small paint brush to the fresh cut surface. Or hand pulling is the other option.
Tenacity Herbicide can be applied in the summer and works best on crabgrass that has just emerged up to the 4 tiller stage. Keep in mind that the best temperature range to apply most herbicides, including Tenacity, is between 65-85 degrees. We recommend early morning or late evening applications to avoid damage to your lawn.
Tenacity Herbicide is labeled safe for fescue lawns however can ONLY be applied to bermuda turfgrass when it is dormant without the risk of injury. Tenacity can be used for pre and post emergent (with Non Ionic Surfactant) control of clover but will only suppress poa annua, it will not fully control it.
Since poa annua and cool season grasses are so closely related, there are few products that will kill the poa annua without also harming the lawn. For Poa Annua in cool season turfgrasses, we recommend a spot-treat with a Roundup-type product and then reseed with the desirable grass type in those areas.
Applying a pre emergent like Pendulum 2G or Dimension 2EW in late fall and early spring to prevent weeds like poa annua, clover, crabgrass, and many other grassy and broadleaf weeds from germinating is also helpful.

As stated on the product label of Tenacity, this product should be applied when there is no rain in the forecast for at least 48 hours. "If rainfall (0.15 inches) has not occurred within 10 days after preemergence application, activate with 0.15 inches of irrigation." This product can be applied to established, tolerable turf types.
Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Tenacity Herbicide can be used both in spring and fall for pre emergent control of weeds when soil temps are around 55 degrees. Tenacity is one of the top pre emergents for cool season turfgrasses in fall and can be applied at the same time as overseeding without inferferring with grass seed germiantion.
For post emergent control of actively growing weeds, a Non Ionic Surfactant is required to be added to tank mix. Post emergent applicaitons can be applied anytime the weeds are actively growing. Please refer to the list of Weeds Controlled on the product label for information on pre/post emergent control of targeted weeds.
Tenacity Herbicide cannot be used on residential St Augustine lawns and will not eliminate woodsorrel.
To control woodsorrel (also known as oxalis) in a St Augustine lawn, you could use a product like Hi Yield Atrazine, or Fertilome Weed Free Zone.
It is recommended to apply a pre emergent like Pendulum 2G in Fall and Spring. (55 degrees in the Spring / Between 70 and 55 degrees in the Fall). Pre emergents prevent weeds from germinating which will help cut down on the amount of post emergents needed during growing seasons.

Tenacity Herbicide is best applied either 2 weeks before seeding or 2-3 weeks after seeding to prevent injury for Centipede lawns.

Yes, Tenacity Herbicide can be shipped to Minnesota. This product is only restricted to ship to Alaska and Puerto Rico.
Tenacity Herbicide should be applied on a non-windy day as directed on the label.
When using Tenacity Herbicide as a post emergent application you are only spot treating the weeds directly per the product label not broadcasting across the entire lawn like you would when applying as a pre-emergent. It is recommended to apply when no rain is expected within 24 hours if treating active weeds so it has enough time to dry and be absorbed by the weeds. For pre-emergent applications you need to water it in so it gets down in the soil to create the barrier.
You do not have to remove dead plant matter after using Tenacity Herbicide. However if you plan to overseed, then it is a good idea to rake out dead plants since you may need to dethatch or aerate before putting down your new seed.
Tenacity Herbicide cannot be used on home lawns that have St Augustine. It is only for use on St Augustine in sod farms.
