Read Full Answer »You do not roll the Tomahawk Rigid Trap Model 104.5. To release the animal you simply re-open the front door in the same manner as you did when you set the trap. If you have an aggressive animal in the trap you may want to wear animal gloves or throw a towel over the trap so the animal will calm down before opening the trap. In almost every case however once you open the door the animal just takes off running. If you have a skunk in the trap you will definitely want to throw a thick plastic tarp over the trap and leave the animal alone for at 30 minutes before releasing to avoid being sprayed.QWhat should be used as bait to trap opossums?AWe would recommend using apples, fish or canned pet food. You will place this at the end of the Live Trap. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
