If you are wanting to completely kill the tree typically you must kill and remove the stump. To kill a sycamore stump using a stump grinder to grind the stump down to ground level. You will then dig it out with the connecting roots. You could use a stump killer such as Fertilome Brush Killer and Stumper Killer to the newly cut stump within a few minutes after cutting. You would still need to do your part to remove the stump but the Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer will prevent resprouting.
After treating a stump with Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide, the tree should be completely dead within one week to 30 days. After a few days, Tordon should have affected the tree enough to remove the stump or root. It does not crumble or dissolve into the ground; you will need to physically remove the dead stump.
Keep in mind that Tordon RTU is not for use on any residential areas. This product has a very long soil residual, so it should not be applied near desirable trees, shrubs, or other ornamentals.
The Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide is not labeled to control kudzu so we would not recommend using it. Instead a product like BK-32 or Crossbow Herbicide would be a much more effective approach to control.

Tordon RTU Spray is not labeled for Walnut Trees therefore we cannot confirm if it would be effective in killing the tree. Black Walnut tree roots can spread out 50-80ft from the tree and are known for resprouting. The most recommended treatment is to cut the stump as low to the ground as possible and apply a product with the active ingredient Glyphosate directly to the freshly cut stump. Direct stump treatments is going to be your best option and will take several months and maybe longer since this tree is so old. Roundup QuickPRO has Diquat as 1 of the 2 ingredients works for a faster knockdown and absorbs throughout the root system better. Drilling into the stump is also sometimes done for the herbcide to absorb quicker into the tree.
