    Yes, Transport Mikron Insecticide has a residual of 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors.

    Is this product good on cockroaches or would you recommend gentrol
    A
    You would actually need both products. Transport and Gentrol are two very different concentrates in how they work. Transport Mikron is a liquid insecticide that you would dilute with water and spray for residual control over the roaches and other insects. The Gentrol IGR has no killing properties in its ingredients as it is purely a birth control for the insects. Using an IGR like Gentrol is pertinent in making sure you halt the infestation. You can mix the Gentrol and Transport together in the same gallon of water and spray them at the same time.     When Transport Mikron dries, how does it look? Any spots or smudges? Is it still safe?
    After it has dried, there is still a bunch of spots like a splatter or spray pattern and they can be smeared. Is that normal? Is it still safe to walk on or touch with bedding?

    If I mop, will I deactivate the Transport Mikron Insecticide?
    with Pine Sol and water
    A

    We recommend that you mop prior to your application of Transport Mikron Insecticide. You should not apply the product to the floor only cracks and crevices. Avoid mopping the areas treated with the product so the effectiveness is not reduced.

    Can you Mix Transport Mikron with Talstar P For Mosquitoes?
    Can you mix these to for a more potent kill on Mosquitos

    Transport Mikron and Talstar P are not labeled to be mixed together and doing so would not benefit you or give you better control. It might actually make the control less effective since you dont want the mosquitoes to be repelled by the product and if you put it too strong you can cause this to happen.

    How effective is Transport Mikron in killing biting midges in my home?
    I"ve had biting midges in my home for over a year now, and nothing i have tried has worked. i've tried Tastar P, Tempo Sc,Onslaught,etc. Will this work, and how do i use it?

    Transport Mikron Insecticide should kill midges that come in contact with it. You have used great products that should have taken care of the problem. Are you positive you are dealing with Midges? Using the Flyweb Flylight could be of help here as well. We would also recommend to contact your Cooperative Extension Office for an identification.

    What product do you recommend to use in addition to Transport Mikron?
    I see on the label it says should not be used alone. So far it has been super effective (first treatment) and will continue treatments. We are also VERY diligent about heat treating clothing, bedding, etc. as well as alcohol applications to surfaces.

    We recommend to incorporate dusting with Cimexa in wall voids and also using Bedlam to seams and folds of upholstered furniture as well as cracks and crevices of night stands and bed frames as well as applying Transport Mikron Insecticide. Please see our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more tips on how to eradicate this pest.

    Is Transport Mikron Insecticide an area spray or crack and crevices?
    I am trying to eliminate a bedbug infestation

    Transport Mikron Insecticide is not labeled as a space spray. It is a crack and crevice spray. You can use Transport Mikron Insecticide along the baseboards, cracks and crevices and then use a product like Bedlam to apply to seams/fold of upolstered furniture, bed frames, mattress seams, night stands, etc. We alo recommend applying a dust in wall voids such as Cimexa dust.     Does Transport Mikron Insecticide work for springtails?
    A

    Transport Mikron Insecticide is labeled to treat springtails. You want to spray the outside perimeter 2-3 feet up and 2-3 feet out, also focus on cracks and crevices and entry points inside. Please be sure to verify there are no water leaks that could be attracting springtails. It can be applied on the lawn and interior crevices. We also carry Delta Dust that can be applied to wall voids and cracks and crevices inside and out.     Can you fog Transport Mikron Insecticide?
    Can you use an ULV fogger with this product?

    Is Transport Mikron safe to spray around babies and small children?
    A

    Transport Mikron is labeld to be used in homes for pest control. Keep children and pets out of the area during application. Once the product has had time to dry, it is safe to re-enter.

    What's better for springtails? Transport Mikron or Transport GHP
    A
    Both Transport GHP and Transport Mikron will treat for Springtails.  Transport Mikron might be a better choice, it is a newer improved version, that will make mixing and application easier.

    Is transport Mikron safe to use in a house with a pregnant woman?
    A
    As long as the pregnant women and anyone else not doing the application of the product are out of the home while its being sprayed and at least several hours aftewards until all surfaces have completely dried it should be safe. That being said, we encourage all pregnant women to contact their doctor with any chemical concerns of products being used in the home as everyone's sensitivity to a product will be different.

    Does Transport Mikron cause carpet to discolor?
    I have applied Transport Mikron as a pin-stream along baseboards with brown carpet and have noticed carpet turning brownish red.

    We have not heard of Transport Mikron causing discoloration to carpeted surfaces. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer FMC for more details FMC at 1-800-321-1362.

    How soon until I can safely re-apply Transport Mikron?

    Will Transport Mikron work for Carpenter ants?

    Does Transport Mikron Insecticide kill wood boring beetles?
    A

    Transport Mikron Insecticide would only be effective against beetles that contact the outside treated surface of areas it is applied.  It will not affect beetles that are already inside the wood.   For active wood boring beetles we typically recommend using Boracare.

    Can Transport Mikron Insecticide be sprayed after Phantom for bed bug control?
    I sprayed Phantom and was wondering after two weeks could I then use Transport Mikron possibly mixed with an IGR?

    Phantom is only labeled to be applied once every 4 weeks. You should wait to retreat the same area with Transport Mikron. You can apply Gentrol IGR. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a successful eradication program.

    When can I clean & what can I use to clean after treating with Transport Mikron?
    How long after getting treated for bed bugs with Mikron, can I wash down surfaces without nullifying the product? Also, is it safe to use ammonia wipes to clean surfaces or should I stick to just regular soap/water?
    A

    All baseboards, cracks and crevices can be and should be cleaned before treatment. The diluted solution of Transport Mikron Insecticide can then be sprayed in those areas. Wiping the treated areas with any type of chemical can clean off some or all of the residual, making the treatment ineffective. For bed bug treatments, you can clean up and re-treat with Transport once every 7-14 days.
