Victor mouse trap

A good feeding dish but poor/ineffective trap.

I bought six (6) of these Victor Mouse Trap M040. Total waste of money. They are great as a substitute food dish if you want to feed mice, but there is a design flaw in the stay bar catch mechanism where the mice are able to eat the bait without releasing the trap bar. Several attempts to adjust it (make it more sensitive to a mouse eating at the bait) all failed. Don't waste your time and money on this trap. You will be disappointed. I recommend the M325 Pro. A far better choice.

best mouse traps
By Jane on 10/23/2020
Have always used Victor mouse traps. Couldn't find them so I bought a cheap knockoff, didn't catch any. Ordered Victor on line, the day they arrived I set the traps, that night caught 4. No more mice for right now. I live in the edge of the woods and it is getting cold, so they will be looking for a warm place, but the Victor Mouse traps well take care of that.

I let my son set 2 of these up. He set them wrong , and the mice got comfortable. I showed him how to properly set them and then he re-deployed them. They worked flawlessly. Two mice down, not sure how many more to go. There are many traps out there, but this style of trap seems to get them every time.

Best Traps Ever, Stick with the Classic Style
By Rachael on 01/27/2022
These traps work far better than the newer ones with the plastic style bait station. And just so you know, the BEST bait ever is tootsie roll!!! It doesn't go stale like peanut butter or cheese and the mice love it. Just warm up a bit of the tootsie roll and mold it into the bait station.
