    Q
What happens if you put granular post/preemergents in an ornamental bed
I accidentally put out granular Echelon in an ornamental flower bed...are the plants going to die? It's a 0-0-7
    A

We apologize but do not carry any such product as you have described only a liquid Echelon 4SC Herbicide.  We would have to refer to to contact the manufacturer of the product directly for instructions/label usage. Their number should be found on the product label.

    Q
When can you walk in an area treated with 3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide?
We live in a semi rural area near which is a huge cemetery with many acres of open field. The owners have this area sprayed with the 3 Way Max herbicide. The odor is so strong that your eyes water. Is this safe to breathe and can you walk in the treated area? What about pets and deer and Canadian geese?
    A

Once 3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide has dried, it is safe for pets/animals and individuals to be in the area. We would recommend staying out of the area until this product has dried.

    Q
Does 3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide work on Floratam?
Does it work on Floratam? Does it kill oxalis?
    A

No, 3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide specifically states to NOT apply on Floratam St. Augustine per the label. To kill Oxalis/woodsorrel in St. Augustine, you could use Blindside Herbicide. The product label does not exclude Floratam, but we would recommend testing a small area before doing a broadcast treatment, especially if the lawn is under any stress. (Some users have had Floratam discolor slightly when using Blindside, but the lawn generally recovers quickly.)

    Q
How can I kill course clumpy fescue in my Bermuda?
These are a clumpy type of looking fescue. Online pics indicate course fescue.
    A

The only product we were aware of that will do this daunting task is a Bayer product called Tribute Total but it has been discontinued. Many of our customers will use a glyphosate based product and spot spray troublesome areas and reseed or re-sod with the desired turf.

  • Asked by Carl from Sewell, Nj
    05/19/2017
    Q
How is 3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide for purslane?
I have sprayed it with numerous 2-4-D treatments and it doesn't touch my purslane. I have had to go purchase other products for weeds that the straight 2-4-D didn't touch and am looking for something to knock the purslane down for good.
    A

3 Way Max Turf and Ornamental Broadleaf Herbicide is labeled for purslane. This product is also labeled for various other broadleaf weeds as well. The mixing rate is 1.1 - 1.5 oz. per 1-2 gallons of water. This will treat 1000 square feet. A good option may be to use a surfactant with this product to help it coat the plant more and kill the weeds more effectively.

  • Asked by Brooks from Phoenix, Az
    06/07/2017
    Q
What herbicide should I use to treat 1 acre of Bermuda in Phoenix, AZ for dandelions?
I want to control dandelions. What are my best spray or spreader options
    A

For post-emergent control of dandelions, a liquid spray will be more effective than a granule. 3 Way Max would be a great choice for dandelion and many other broadleaf weeds in most types of turfgrass. Please make sure to check the product label before use to ensure this product is safe to use in the areas where you need to apply it. For Bermuda grass, you would use 3 to 4 pints (48-64 oz) per Acre in 5 to 220 gallons of water
