I have termites that have ruined my inground pool liner and was advised to use a repellent. I have a new liner and do not want to install until I get the termites taken care of. Will I have to reapply under the liner again in a few months
Yes, when treating with Bifen XTS it would need to be reapplied. Bifen XTS is a repellent but not in the literal sense. Instead, we recommend treating with Taurus SC before placing the pool liner as this product will eliminate active termite colonies within 90 days and provide a 10 year barrier protection against future termites. Before installing the new pool liner, you will use use 1 gallon of mixed solution (0.8 fl oz + 1 gallon of water) for every 10 square feet of the pool footprint. Once all the square footage has been treated, you will want to trench around the periemter of the pool for the complete barrier protection treatment. Dig a 6in x 6in trench directly against the pool perimeter and around any support posts/beams (if applicable) and pour 4 gallons of mixed solution (3.2 fl oz Taurus SC + 4 gallons of water) every 10 linear feet. View the product label for a pre-slab and exterior perimeter treatment information as well as our Termite Treatment Guide for step by step instructions.
