We have a big pregnant sewer rat in our house. Somehow it came in through the wall into our house. We have tried calling an exterminator. They can't seem to catch it, and we have tried using poison in the home, but that doesn't seem to work. So, what other options are there?

You should also seal up all cracks and crevices where rodents may be able to enter the structure. Tamper-resistant bait stations with a rodenticide outside would also help if they are coming and going.
