Acclaim Extra is compatible in tank mixes with many other commonly used herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers. We always recommend that you test a small, inconspicuous area first before mixing any products together.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide will supress johnsongrass. Pastora Herbicide can be used in Tall Fescue pastures and for johnsongrass. Check with your state extension or Department of Agriculture before use, to be certain Pastora is registered in your state.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide is not labeled to be applied in pastures. Depending on what you are treating, for Martins Clear pasture would be a great option.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide is not labeled for poison ivy. You may want to consider a product like Bonide Poison Ivy and Brush Killer instead.
Acclaim Extra Herbicide may be applied to newly plugged zoysiagrass, per the product label. Broadleaf herbicides such as 2,4-D or MCPP may reduce the effectiveness of Acclaim Extra Herbicide. Do not apply Acclaim Extra within 21 days following a 2,4-D or MCPP application, or 5 days before a 2,4-D or MCPP application. There are no restrictions for use with other grass killers such as Drive XLR8, however, we would recommend testing a small area before treating the whole yard if you are using these two products at the same time or within a few days of one another to be sure there is not extra sensitivity in your desired turfgrass.
Acclaim will be most successful on goosegrass when it is newly emerged in the 1 to 2 leaf stages. You can retreat at 14-21 day intervals through the growing season without exceeding 10 applications per growing season.
You should use a surfactant like Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker or Southern Ag Non Ionic Surfactant for Herbicides with Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide as directed on the label.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide can be used with a dye such as Turf Mark Blue or Monterey Mark It Blue. Take a look at all of our spray indicatiors here.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide is not labeled as tolerable to apply to hakoneclora so we cannot recommend you apply over it.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide should not be applied to ryegrass that is less than 4 weeks old per the product label.
It is best to use Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide at least 25 feet away from the water.
There is no pre-emergent actually labeled for Japanese so we are not able to make a recommendation. We would suggest a selective post-emergent such as Acclaim instead. Acclaim Extra is a selective post-emergence herbicide that controls annual and perennial grasses in turf including Japanese Stiltgrass.
For crabgrass the best pre-emergent in the spring would be anything with Dithiopyr as long as the area will not be used for grazing or hay. Pendulum is a great fall application.
You should not apply Acclaim Extra Herbicide until 4 weeks have passed since seeding or until the new turf has been mowed at least twice. Repeat applications of Acclaim Extra Herbicide every 28 to 35 days (never sooner than 14 days) to continue growth suppression of these species

is not labeled to control timothy grass. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any product that is labeled to kill timothy grass among other desirable turfgrasses. You can carefully spot treat the timothy grass with a non-selective herbicide such as Killzalland then overseed any bare spots as needed.
