The Aegis rodent bait station is a sturdy weather-proof protective station that keeps rodent bait away from weather and protected from children and pets, allowing only mice and rats to enter the station and consume the bait. Each Aegis rodent rat bait station contains vertical and horizontal bait rods that keep mini bait blocks secure inside the station and away from non target animals. Elevated rods keep mini-blocks away from moisture. With bait rods removed, bait tray holds pellets or meal rodenticides and makes cleaning easier. Trapped rodents remain concealed, enhancing your professional image. Also, a floor lip surrounding glue board prevents insects from nesting in concealed areas. Reverse hinge opens away from wall, allowing the station to stay anchored for easy maintenance and documentation of service information. I first used Aegis stations after a professional baited a rental house. He left the stations and a key and I re-baited them later. I liked them so much I bought six more. The bait can mount horizontally on two bars (4 baits total or five if you cut one in half) and they are very secure if you bend the bars at the 90 degree corner to open up the rod. That way it really locks in when the cover locks. If you mount three baits vertically, each sits on its own rod and a thin plastic plate holds the ends of the rods secure to prevent bait "snatching." I prefer the horizontal bar setup -and you can order extra bars. I have used bot the black and clear cover models. After three years in the AZ sun, the oldest stations are still pliable and function great. Hosing them out is all that is necessary to get ready for more bait.

Dont Hold Much Bait

These stations dont hold very much bait. But, on the plus side, the bait seems very secure once it is installed. I like the way that the lid opens. But, the station does not fit well into corners, and there seems to be a lot of wasted space, meaning that the footprint of the station is very large for the relatively small functional size of the inside.

Heavy duty bait station

The plastic case is heavy duty and should last a long time. The size is a little larger than the brand I had before. And, the vertical and horizontal wire for the bait blocks are not real secure. However, due to the sturdiness of the case, I give these bait stations five stars.

The Aegis Rat Stations are not meant to hold rats (dead or otherwise) at all. These are bait stations which are meant to hold rodent bait blocks such as Fastrac Blox. The rats will enter the stations, feed on the bait, and then leave.
Aegis Rat Stations do not come with snap traps. These stations are not really designed to be used with a snap trap inside; however, we do offer the new EZ Snap Rodent Bait Station, which is a station with a rat snap trap built-in and a unique indicator zip tie for setting and monitoring the traps. This stations is also available with an attached concrete block.
