It is a fast acting revolutionary formula that will destroy an entire fire ant mound, including the queen, in under five minutes. Each quart-sized bottle will treat 40 fire ant mounds or 40 square feet.

Active Ingredient Zeta-Cypermethrin 0.35% Target pests Native and imported fire ants Application Shake well and attach to hose. Turn water on at faucet, aim nozzle over mound, and turn control lever to ON to begin application. Gently soak mound, moving the applicator to fully wet the mound for 30 seconds. Repeat for each mound. When finished, turn control lever to OFF. Turn faucet OFF. Discharge residual water pressure by turning control lever ON and OFF again. Why did this quit being made? This worked great and did kill the mounds almost immediately. I always kept a couple containers handy.

The manufacturers do not put on the label or tell what rate the attachment on the hose is dispersing the product at. Amdro does make a slightly different product that comes in a concentrate form: Amdro Quick Kill Lawn & Landscape Insect Killer Concentrate.QWhat makes THIS Amdro Fire Ant killer more effective than the same name brand sold retail?I am concerned that by spending the extra money to get THIS Amdro Fire Ant killer because it "says" it kills the entire mound, including the queen, in about 5 minutes, that I am being naive. However, this product will kill the mound, queen and all, within 5 minutes. Zeta Cypermethrin, the active ingredient in Amdro Quick Kill Fire Ant Mound Drench Ready-To-Spray is a very fast acting insecticide with a fast knockdown. Keep in mind this is not a commercial grade product and there is no difference in the product (with the same EPA#) whether it is purchased from us or locally.
