I used Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide last year and was successful. Now, 2 days after spraying, I am still seeing the insects on the leaves. Should I treat with Forbid or do another application of Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide? I don't want to kill my plants.

Yes, we would recommend rotating to a miticide with a different mode of action such as Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide for 2-3 applications then rotating back to Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide for 2-3 applications.

Can Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide be tank mixed with Ovicide for control of eggs?

We would recommend doing a jar test to see if the Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide mixes well with the Ovicide. This is taking a little of each solution and mixing it in a clear container and letting it set for a few minutes to see if the solution stays in suspension.

What if it is sprayed in week 6 of an 8 week lifespan of a plant. Is that enough time for the plant to evaporate the product?

We would recommend contacting your local extension office to help with a proper time of day to apply the product. Every county has an extension office that is run by your University System. They are located in the same county and are familiar with weather, plant, and soil conditions that pertain to your location.

Will Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide harm plants if sprayed on top layer of soil?
A lot of my plants are aroids and vines with a lot of nooks and crannies at the base of the soil. Will this be harmful to the plants if I get any of the product in the soil while applying? Also, can I mix with spinosad and a surfactant? Thank you.

A surfactant is not required with Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide. The product label states that this product has been evaluated for phytotoxicity on a wide range of ornamental plants however, since all combinations or sequences of pesticide sprays, including surfactants and adjuvants, have not been tested, it is recommended that when adding a surfactant to test a small area before to make certain that no phytotoxicity occurs.

Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is not labeled to be used inside homes so would not be recommended for cheyletiella mites. We do not have a product that is labeled for Cheyletiella mites (aka walking dandruff) and treating the home is really not necessary as these mites do not live long off of their host animal and do not truly infest a home. This mite is contagious by direct contact with an infected animal. Symptoms can last up to 3 weeks but do go away by that time. If a cat or dog is being reinfested then an egg or mite is being missed during treatment on that animal or another animal they are in contact with.

If you truly feel something needs to be sprayed, then SteriFab would be the recommendation though it has to make direct contact with the mite. It can pretty much be used anywhere and dries in 15-20 minutes and is gone.

Sterifab is a spray not a fog but is the only thing we can advise on.
