    Q
Can 12 Month Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed Dual-Action granules be used on fruit trees?
Because of severe borer infestation my nursery sold me on this product for peaches and apples, explained how to use it and not to eat fruit for a year. I removed all the fruit the first year of use. Borers are gone. Trees are now in their 2nd year since the first and only application. Is the fruit edible?
    A

Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II - Con is only labeled for use on non-bearing fruit and nut trees. Non-bearing fruits and nuts are plants that do not bear edible fruits and nuts for at least 12 months after application of pesticides.  So as long as it has been 12 months since the application you can harvest/consume fruit

  • Asked by John from Ottertail, Mn
    05/27/2019
    Q
If I have a new four clump Royal Frost Birch (4 - 1/2" diameter) and a new River Birch (1/1/2" diameter), then do I add up the trunks for each tree when using Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Concentrate?
I'd like to treat my trees with Bayer Advanced 12 month for birch bore, do I treat the clump as a 2" diameter tree?
    A

If you have trees with multiple trunks, then you would add the trunks together to get the total trunk circumference for that tree when using Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed Concentrate. So if you have 6 inches of total circumference (not diameter) when you add up all the trunks, then you would use 6 oz of concentrate for that tree.
