The 96 oz of Bifen IT will make 96 to 192 gallons giving you a coverage of 4 acres. But, please keep in mind that the Bifen alone will not eradicate fleas. You will also need to mix in an IGR to break down the reproductive cycle. Bifen kills the adults that come in contact with it, but then you still have the immature fleas growing and then reproducing. It is a constant battle without the IGR. We recommend Nyguard as an additive to the Bifen and it will last up to 7 months.

Bifen I/T is a great product for earwigs and a large variety of other insects as well. You will spray Bifen indoors around baseboards and cracks and crevices, and outdoors around window and door frames, and around the foundation of the home 2-3 feet up on the side and 2-3 feet out on the ground. Earwigs like moisture and dark areas so if you have any mulch or pinestraw against the home or close by in the yard, turn those areas to help dry them out and soak them down with the Bifen to help kill anything living there. Children as well as anyone other than the person applying the product need to be out of the area being treated while the product is being applied and until everything is fully dry. Once all surfaces are dry it is completely safe for everyone to return.
Bifen IT can take several minutes or longer to kill a listed pest that contacts the treated surfaces. It is mixed at 1 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft monthly to the exterior areas and quarterly to the interior crevices. Eliminating springtails can take time. Springtails indicate that there is a moisture issue because they breed in walls or under slabs where a moisture issue may exist. Typically, pesticides alone will not take care of a springtail problem. It is required to fix whatever moisture issue is causing the problem. You should read our "How To Get Rid of Springtails" article for further information.

Bifen IT can be toxic to aquatic life, so it should not be used indoors in or near aquariums or reptile habitats. Bifen IT is safe to use outdoors as directed on the product label and indoors as a crack and crevice treatment. For other pets such as dogs and cats, it is safe if animals are kept out of the treatment area until the application is dry. If you are having trouble with ants indoors, then our Indoor Ant Kit is a great choice. This kit contains two different baits which get carried throughout ant colonies, refillable bait stations, plus Temprid Ready Spray to be used along doorways, window frames, and other places where ants are likely to enter the structure. You should always cover aquariums before using insecticide sprays indoors. Our most popular choice for treating ants outdoors is Taurus SC used around the perimeter of the home. Please see our Ant Treatment Guide for more tips and product recommendations.
Keep in mind that Bifen IT is not a contact kill. How long it takes to see results will depend on several factors, including how healthy the leafhopper is and how long it spends on a treated surface. It could be hours or even a couple of days.
Bifen It should be applied and dried prior to rainfall within 24 hrs. Were the treated areas dry prior to the rain?

Bifen IT is labeled for outside only application for fleas. You will also need to mix in an IGR to break down the reproductive cycle. Bifen kills the adults that come in contact with it, but then you still have the immature fleas growing and then reproducing. It is a constant battle without the IGR. We recommend Nyguard as it will last up to 7 months. Nyguard Plus would be a great choice for indoor flea control. For the most effective control, vacuum before treating and then everyday for the next two weeks, being sure to change the bag or empty the cannister immediately after vacuuming. A second treatment should be applied after 14 days.
There is no valid reason to mix synthetic pyrethroids such as Bifen IT and Onslaught Fastcap together. This would not make either product work better or produce better results. However, it could make treated areas repellent to bugs, lessening the effectiveness of the treatment. Neither product can do its job of killing insects if the insects are avoiding the treated areas.
Bifen IT is not labeled for beneficial insects like butterflies. However, it is not really selective so it has the potential to kill them if they come in contact with a treated area. To avoid contacting beneficial insects, apply in the early morning or late evening when they are less active in the area.
Per the product label, Bifen IT should be applied a coarse, low pressure, crack and crevice or spot spray to areas where pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas.
