This is a granular product that will be applied about the base of the plant. You will work the granules into 1-2 inches of soil and water after applying. For flower beds, spring the granules evenly over the flower bed. -

Though in general, imidacloprid does not pose a large threat to pollinators when used as directed as it is not absorbed by the parts bees feed on. This product is applied as a soil drench application directly around the base of the plants and not as a foliar spray however you do not want to apply when bees are visiting the treatment area or actively foraging.
