    Q
Can you mix Boracare and foaming agent using a paint mixer drill since I don't have a foam machine?
    A

The only way the foaming agent will work to make the Bora-Care foamy is when you use it in a foaming device. The foaming device actually adds air into the mixture.

    Q
    Safety
If applied inside the house under the carpet in the bedroom, what are the safety recommendations? May I sleep and stay in the treated room? If not for how long do I need to avoid entering the room or the house? Same question about the crawl space, if applied underneath the house on the wood under the bedroom?
    A

Bora-Care is safe if it is applied to raw wood when people and pets are not present. Once the treated surfaces have completely, it is safe for them to returned to the treated areas/surfaces.

    Q
Can you mix the bora care turmeric side with the Termidor SC
    A

There is no need to mix Bora-Care with Termidor SC. Bora-Care will not work for subterranean termites (what Termidor is generally used for) & Termidor will not bond with wood the way Bora-Care does

    Q
I used Bora care and I have some residue on my plastic storage cabinets and tools. How do I clean this ?
Can I touch the residue left from spraying bora care on my shed I sprayed the 2x4s and plywood walls in my shed ,or how can i safely clean it. It/s been 24 hours since I sprayed. Thanks Delfin
    A

Bora-Care takes at least 48 hours to fully dry after applying. Once it has fully dried and any overspray got onto any finished surfaces, then you should be able to clean those areas with warm, soapy water to remove any residue.

    Bora-Care and brown ants
I have some old but still liquid Bora-Care left over. I have a reoccurring ant hills in dirt at the foundation of my home. If I spray the ant hills, will it be effective on killing the ants?

Bora-Care should only be used to prevent carpenter ants applied to wood directly as it is a wood preservative. It cannot be used to treat mounds in the yard.  Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Ants for a successful eradication program.

I'm building my house, about 1600sqft, once framing is done I'm planning to use Bora-Care with Mold treatment on all the wood framing. I see information about using 1:1 ratio with water but I also see 1:5. Which ratio should I use?

    Q
Will it be harmful to inhabitants if I spray Bora-Care on every sq. inch of interior studs, joists, rafters, etc.?
Found decade-old termite damage and current live termites. I replaced a bunch of lumber but still chasing them. I am removing all sheetrock to treat all wood. I'm applying a Termidor perimeter outside to kill the colony. I believe the queen is under my porch. Anyway, I'm worried that large amounts of Bora-Care applied in my home will be harmful to inhabitants.
    A

Bora-Care can be applied to interior studs, joists, etc. Bora-Care is a very safe product and it is considered a green product as well.  Typically, it takes about an hour for the surface of the wood to dry.  After the application has dried completely, it should be perfectly fine for children and p…

Can Bora-Care be used on the wood trim of my marble table without ruining the marble?
I have an antique marble table with wood trim and I believe may have some pests feasting on the wood. Can I use this on the wood without runining the marble top?
    A

Bora-Care is only for use on raw unfinished wood, so the wood trim would have to have no stain, paint, or finish on it of any kind for the Boracare to absorb. If the wood is raw, you can use a small paint brush to dip in the mixed solution to paint on the trim carefully to not overapply on the marbl…

    Q
Can I bag furniture after using Bora-Care?
We have a hutch that is infested with some kind of wood eating bug. We have the piece outside and have ordered Bora-Care. Unfortunately, we are leaving town for a few weeks right after we plan to treat the hutch. Can we put it in a XL plastic bag to prevent any bugs from getting into the house if they are not all eliminated? Will this be safe for the hutch or impact the effectiveness of the Bora-Care?
    A

Bora-Care has to be applied to raw wood. It would be better if it dried naturally first and then put in a bag.
