Works great! Boyfriend loves it and this is a man who owns many different types of guns from rifles, shotguns, and handguns. It's quick to load, easy to fire and the distance is good. He even killed a few hornets (even with their outta hard shell). He is not easy to please on gifts but this gift sure gave me a 5 star girlfriend rating so your product deserves the same. As the title says it's a fun toy to use to shoot pests like flies and spiders. However after cocking it doesn't always 'fire' and the pest gets away. After re-pumping and resetting the 'safety' it will 'usually' fire. For $50 I didn't expect a 'Quality' item. With that said I'm fairly pleased with the Bug-A-Salt

My salt gun use to work great now it has no power. Should I try cleaning it and if how?
You can clean your Bug A Salt Gun by soaking it in hot water. This will break down the salt build up in the gun. Let it dry completely before reloading with salt.

The concept looks good, but it probably lacks knock-down power.
Per the manufacturter of the the Bug-A-Salt Fly U Bug Salt Gun, it may "sting" scorpions somewhat, but would most likely not have enough power to completely kill them down due to their hard shell.
