    Q
I used Casoron on the floor of my greenhouse. Is there a way to get rid of it and the effects?
I didn't realize that the Casoron would stay in the air, etc. of the greenhouse. Needless to say, I haven't had luck growing anything this year. Is there a way to get rid of the effects of the Casoron?
    A

Casoron 4G Herbicide does not get into the air and effect plants or soil that way.  It can prevent things growing in treated soil as it is pre-emergent though.  Since it can stay in the soil for at least 1 year, you would need to wait at least one year after application to replant or remove the treated soil and replace with new.

    Q
    Can Casoron kill bamboo?
    A

Dichlobenil, the active ingredient in Casoron 4G Herbicide, is not labeled for bamboo and may not be an effective solution for your needs. We recommend a product like Rodeo or Roundup QuikPro at the highest rates directly to the fresh cut stump of the bamboo after you cut it down level to the ground, or use a brush and stump killer undiluted directly on the fresh stump.

    Q
    Use in yards
I have a HORRIBLE Horsetail problem in my yard. It's fully landscaped and they come up everywhere. I've tried everything I've read about, but come Spring they are back with a vengeance. How would I use this is my environment??
    A
Casoron 4G is a pre-emergence herbicide that kills selective weeds and grasses.  Casoron 4G controls weeds before they emerge from the ground,  by forming an herbicidal vapor barrier in the upper layer of the soil when activated by rainfall or irrigation water.  Casoron 4G should be applied before weed seed germination and emergence from the soil (usually from mid-winter to early spring).

  • Asked by Lee from Sherwood, Or

    Q
Is Casoron safe to apply over established daffodil bulbs?
    A

Casoron 4G Herbicide is not labeled to be used around bulb plantings, so we would not recommend this application. Gallery 75 DF can be used around ornamental bulb plantings 2-4 weeks after planting but prior to emergence of annual weeds. Per the product label: Gallery also may be applied following bulb emergence but prior to flowering and after flowering. For fall planted bulbs, apply Gallery 75 DF in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces. For bulbs, make a single applcation wtithin 30 days following planting and prior to bulb emergence.

    07/18/2019
    Q
Can I scrape off the top layer of soil in an area where I want to replant after using Casoron 4G Herbicide?
Over a year ago I treated an area with Casoron. I now want to add more top soil and plant hydrangeas. Will it work to peal or rake off a layer of soil, apply the new top soil, dig the planting holes deeper, fill with new soil and then plant the flowers?
    A

If you want to plant in Casoron 4G Herbicide treated areas you would need to just wait one year.  After that time nothing is needed, ie removing soil, to be able to plant in the area.
