  • Asked by D from St Augustine Fl
    08/30/2018
    Q
Can I mix atrazine with my Celsius WG mix and spray it?
If not can I put Celsius WG down at one time and also do my atrazine treatment at another time?
    A

To see if you can mix Celsius WG and Atrazine together you need to test prior to mixing in the tank.  Please follow these instructions on the label of the Celsius WG.  Compatibility If this product is to be tank-mixed with other products, compatibility should be tested prior to mixing. To test for compatibility, use a small container and mix a small amount (0.5 to 1 qt) of spray, combining all ingredients in the same ratio as the anticipated use. If any indications of physical incompatibility develop (precipitation, settling, changes in color), do not use this mixture for spraying. Indications of incompatibility may occur within 5-15 minutes after mixing. Read and follow the label of each tank mix product used for precautionary statements, directions for use, geographic and other restrictions.

  • Asked by T. from Boerne, Tx
    07/24/2013
    Q
How much Celsius WG do mix to make 3 gal in sprayer?
    A
As with most herbicides the exact volume of water is not very important, you just need to be sure you are getting the correct amount of product on a specific area. Celsius may be applied at three different rates depending on the weeds to be controlled. For the appropriate rate and species consult USE RATES FOR WEED CONTROL section on the Celsius product label. For spot applications, add the specified product rate of 0.057-0.113 oz (1.6-3.2g) to enough water to create approximately 1 gallon spray solution. One gallon of spray solution will treat up to 1,000 sq ft. For maximum weed control with broadcast applications, add non-ionic surfactant.

  • Asked by Arthur from Fort Lauderdale, Fl
    06/14/2021
    Q
Once the Celsius WG Herbicide has dried, it is harmful to cats that may eat the grass or weeds where it has been applied?
    A

In general the Celsius WG Herbicide is safe for people and pets so long as you keep them out of the area while applying the chemical, and until the product has had plenty of time to dry (normally a few hours). If your cat has any sensitivities we would recommend consulting your vet, otherwise the cat should be safe to eat the grass as long as its dry.

  • Asked by Cliff from Troy
    04/02/2017
    Q
How does Celius WG Herbicide work?
    A

Celsius WG Herbicide is a selective herbicide with multiple modes of action that provide a broad spectrum of weed control. Celsius WG Herbicide controls weeds after they have germinated (post) and also has some residual activity that prevents new weed germination, depending on the specific weed.  Per the product label: Weed growth ceases within hours after application. Symptoms progress from yellowing to necrosis resulting in plant death within 1-4 weeks after application. The speed of symptom development varies with temperature and will be faster at warmer temperatures.  Two of the three active ingredients in Celsius WG Herbicide (thiencarbazone-methyl and iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium) inhibit acetolactate synthase (ALS). ALS is responsible for the synthesis of essential amino acids that are essential for plant growth. Inhibition of these amino acids stops weed growth.  Celsius WG Herbicide also contains dicamba, a benzoic acid herbicide that acts on the same biochemical site as the natural plant auxin, indole acetic acid (IAA)

    Q
Can I use Celsius and Sedgehammer at the same time on my St. Augustine lawn or on consecutive days?
    A

Sedgehammer can be mixed with glyphosate products but is not labeled to be mixed with anything else.  We would recommend applying Celsius WG Herbicide as a separate application about a day apart.

  • Asked by Danny from Ft Lauderdale Florida
    08/05/2013
    Q
Will Celsius WG harm fruit trees or vegetables?
    A
Celsius WG is not labeled for use on fruit bearing or nut bearing trees and vegetable gardens. How hurtful to the actual fruit trees and vegetables this may be we are unsure of.  The main product used for weeds in a vegetable garden is a Roundup type product, like our RoundUp QuickPro product.  Roundup Professional products do not leave a residual that could possibly be soaked up by the roots of your garden.  Of course you do not want to get the RoundUp product on any plants you want to keep.  You should only direct it at the weeds you want to get rid of.
