    Q
Why is celsius no longer available?
Celsius was a great product, why doesnt DMOPC carry it any longer?
    A
We agree, Celsius is a fantastic product and it is unfortunate we no longer have it as part of our inventory. However due to a contract we have with the manufacturer there were recently some turf products we carried that are no longer a part of our contract and we cannot get. We apologize for the inconvenience and you should be able to find the product on other sites similar to ours online.

  • Asked by Marc from Pinson, Al
    11/10/2017
    Q
Can Certainty or Celsius be used effectively to eradicate the pesky dallisgrass in my yard?
    A

Celsius WG Herbicide in combination with Revolver Herbicide (2 fl oz per gallon) and methylated seed oil at 1% applied as a spot treatment in late summer or early fall will suppress and/or control dallisgrass. Applications made sooner may not be effective. Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. bottle will suppress Dallis grass. Per the product label: For suppression of Dallis grass in Bermuda apply this product at a rate of 1.25 oz per acre in a tank mix with 2lbs MSMA per acre and .25 oz Non Ionic Surfactant. Re apply same tank mix 2-4 weeks after initial application. Barricade 65WG would be an excellent pre-emergent product choice to treat dallisgrass (Paspalum). Please be sure to confirm the application rates and safety for your desired turf species on each product label prior to application.

  • Asked by Stan from Murrells Inlet Sc
    03/22/2021
    Q
how soon after applying Celsius WG Herbicide can I reseed with centipede seed?
    A

The Celsius WG Herbicide Product Label does not list a specific seeding interval for centipede grass like it does other grass species, however we would recommend giving the same time frame between application and seeding as it suggest for bermuda and zoysia. You would need to wait 90 days after an application of Celsius WG before putting down centipede seed. Otherwise if you seed first, you would need to give at least 3-4 weeks before applying Celsius, and ideally the new grass should have come up and been mowed at least twice if possible.

    Q
Should you mow your grass first, and then apply Celsius WG Herbicide? Or should you mow and then wait a couple days to apply?
    A

Per the Celsius WG Herbicide product label: MOWING INSTRUCTIONS: Do not mow immediately after treating with this product or before spray has dried.  Typically you should 1-2 days before and after applying.

  • Asked by John from Victoria, Tx
    10/14/2019
    Q
After applying Celsius, how long does it take to kill sandbur?
    A

Weed growth ceases within hours after application of Celsius WG Herbicide. Symptoms progress from yellowing to necrosis resulting in plant death within 1-4 weeks after application. The speed of symptom development varies with temperature and will be faster at warmer temperatures. For best results to control mature weeds, apply when the daily average temperature is above 60

  • Asked by Thomas from Centre, Al
    09/14/2019
    Q
Can I use Celsius WG Herbicide on ground cover juniper for poison ivy control?
    A

Celsius WG Herbicide is not labeled to control poison ivy. Unfortunately, there is not an herbicide available that would remove the poison ivy from around juniper that would not also potentially harm it. The best thing for this area is to wear gloves and carefully hand pull the poison ivy or you can carefully spot treat with a glyphosate-based product such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant, avoiding contact with as much of the juniper as you can.

  • Asked by David from Jacksonville, Fl

    Q
I mistead the mixing rates on Celsius WG herbicide and use way too much in my St Augustine lawn. Will it kill the grass? And is there anything I should do at this point. Sprayed a few days ago
    A

The only thing you can do for your lawn after applying to much Celcius WG Herbicide, is to water your lawn for an hour 3 times per week for this first week, and then for an hour 2 times per week for the next couple of weeks. If you would like to speak to the manufacturer you can reach Bayer at 877-229-3724.

  • Asked by Trevor from Dallas Texas

    Q
How much Celsius do I need for my 100 gallon tank?
    A

That would depend on your spray rate, or how much water you're applying to 1,000 sqft or per acre and what type of weeds you're treating.  If applying at a rate of 100 gallons per acre, you would apply at a rate of 2.5 oz to 4.9 oz per acre of Celsius.  Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

  • Asked by Renate from Orlando
    01/11/2022
    Q
Does Celsius WG Herbicide have to be watered in after the application?
    A

No, Celsius WG Herbicide does not need to be additionally watered in after the application has dried and should be applied using a sufficient volume of water to evenly and thoroughly treat 1000 sq ft.

View our How to Calibrate Your Sprayer Video for a short tutorial on how to determine the water volume needed for your property.

Per the product label, applications should be made when rainfall or irrigation is not expected for 48 hrs to prevent runoff of the application.

  • Asked by Tom from Florida

    Q
Why does my bottle of Celsius have a two year old manufacture date?
I purchased this expensive bottle from your site and shortly after I noticed the manufacturing date was two years prior. In another answer you say the shelf life is three years. Will you be considerate and make good?
    A
We apologize for any confusion. We do recommend that customers use their product within 3 years of the date of purchase because it can take a while from the date of manufacture for the product to be sold. The manufacturer warranties their product for 5 years from the date of manufacture. You can confirm this with the manufacturer. You can reach Bayer by calling 800-331-2867. Please let us know if you have any questions or further concerns. we are always happy to help.

  • Asked by Kevin from Columbus,ga
    03/31/2013
    Q
Will Celsius harm other plants like forsythia, azaleas, bulbs and/or trees?
    A
Some ornamentals may be sensitive to Celsius and since it wasn't tested for use on ornamentals it is best to try and avoid spraying them with Celsius. Do not plant ornamentals or bedding plants in treated bare areas for at least 30 days after the last application of this product.
