Certainty Herbicide would be a great post-emergent herbicide to use in Centipede for many different types of weeds.
Certainty Herbicide is labeled only for use in turfgrasses and is not labeled to be used in or around edibles and would not be used in areas you plant to plant vegetables. An alternative would be to use a non selective like Roundup/glyphosate or natural option like Avenger.
Certainty Herbicide should only be applied after the sod has been established and mowed at least 2-3 times or 30 days has passed.
For Sedge Control, you will apply this product at 1.25 ounces per acre after weeds have reached the 3- to 8-leaf stage of growth. A sequential application of 1.25 ounces per acre may be made 4 or more weeks after the initial treatment.
Please review the product label for more information.
Certainty is a post emergent product that can be applied to actively growing weeds. For the best timing on when to apply this in your specific region, we would suggest contacting your Master Gardener at your local cooperative extension office. This product may be applied once the grass that you overseeded is established typically after mowing least 2-3 times or at least 30 days. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Certainty is only for use on warm season turfgrass.
For nutsedge and other listed weeds on the label, Dismiss Turf is a great option
Unfortunately, we do not currently carry any products that are labeled for quackgrass that are safe for use in your Kentucky Blue or Fescue grass. We would recommend spot treating with something like Roundup QuikPRO and reseeding the areas. Becareful to avoid getting the product on desirable grass. If most of the lawn has been affected by quackgrass, the only sure fire way to get rid of it is to spray the entire lawn with Roundup. Spray when the lawn is growing actively, preferably in the spring. The treatment will kill the lawn grass as well as the quackgrass. After about two weeks, you may begin the replanting.
Certainty Herbicide is both safe for use on Centipede grass lawns, and can be used to control dallisgrass. Dallisgrass is a difficult plant to control and multiple applications will be required to see complete kill. Most reapplications take place about 2-3 weeks apart.
When applying selective herbicides such as Certainty Herbicide exceeding the maximum rate per 1,000 sq ft, per acre or ounces per year you risk injury to the lawn but may also hinder the results desired.
Certainty Herbicide is a great option for nutsedge in a zoysia lawn.
No, SedgeHammer is not labeled to control poa annua. Certainty is labeled to control poa annua as long as you are following the instructions on the product label. They also contain different active ingredients
Unfortunately, there are very limited options for post-emergent control of dallisgrass in residential lawns. Certainty Herbicide is the only selective herbicide approved for residential lawns to treat dallisgrass however it is only labeled for suppression and not for control. A non ionic surfactant should be used with Certainty and you will have to make multiple applications to see results.
We recommend using a pre-emergent containing the active ingredient dithiopyr to prevent new dallisgrass, such as Dimension 2EW or Crew Specialty Herbicide.
Per the product label, This product is not for use on golf greens
Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. can be used on golf course fairways, golf course roughs, golf course tess and other golf course areas.

Also, Certainty is primarily for Warm Season Turfgrasses and labeled to kill tall fescue and perennial ryegrass in warm season lawns.
Certainty Herbicide is not for use on cool season turf like Kentucky Bluegrass and Ryegrass, it is only labeled for use on warm season turf. Unfortunately the only option to remove Kentucky Bluegrass would be to spot treat with a glyphosate or other non selective herbicide and then reseed the treated areas 2 weeks after the last application.
Yes, Certainty Herbicide will kill dollarweed in both St. Augustine and Zoysia grass. Mix rate is 3 - 5 small scoops or 1 - 2 large scoops per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft.

Depending on the specific weeds you are targeting, either Celsius WG Herbicide or Certainty Herbicide would be a great broad spectrum for broadleaf and grassy weeds in warm season turfgrasses such as Bermuda.
Certainty is however labeled for purple nutsedge, yellow nutsedge and kyllinga where Celsius is not labeled for those weeds specifically. Both require the use of a surfactant and both are exclusively labeled only for warm season trufgrasses.
Pleae view the product labels for each for application rates and more information.
Certainty Herbicide can be tank mixed with other herbicides such as Image Kills Nutsedge as long as they're compatible. We recommend doing a small jar test to be sure and as long as they are compatible and the use of a surfactant does not affect your treatment it will be fine.
View the individual product labels for tank mixing/compatibility test instructions.
Certainty Herbicide is only labeled for warm season turfgrass and would injure cool season turfgrasses. Unfortunately, since poa trivialis is also a cool season grass, there is not a selective herbicide that would kill the poa trivialis without also killing the desirable turf.
Spot treating the poa trivialis with a non selective glyphosate product such as Roundup QuickPRO would be recommended. Any bare spots in the lawn can be reseeded after 2 weeks if needed.
Certainty Herbicide is not labeled for use on Kentucky Bluegrass or other cool-season turfs.
Acclaim Extra Herbicide is labeled to treat johnsongrass in Kentucky Bluegrass lawns. According to the product label, you will apply 20 fl oz per acre (0.46 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft) as soon as the weeds begin actively growing.Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. is safe to apply on Zoysia but not if it is in a transitional state.
