Went thru 1 x 18 pound tub in 1 year. No sign of a dead rat? Been putting 3 blox per box every 3 weeks I have 5 traps boxes. I am on my 2nd 18 lb tub and its down to 3/4 now. There are rat droppings in the traps like they are eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can you please help me?

We apologize you are not seeing the expected results. The issue is most likely that not enough rodenticide is being used at each baiting station and the rat population is likely much higher than anticipated. We recommend making sure you fill each box and check it once a week and refill as needed. It is unlikely that the rats are resistant to the bait but they may not be getting enough at each feeding to kill them. It is also not unusual to not see dead rats. Rats are known to seek shelter when they feel unwell which often leads to them not being seen when they succumb to the effects of the bait.

First I tried traps, then I tried drowning them, then I tried a first generation poison; then I found Contrac. I am delighted with the product. You can break the blocks in half, cover them with a thin smear of peanut butter and ground squirrels will actually fight over who gets to eat the product. I think they're gone from my property but it appears I might be getting a few from neighboring properties so I'm doing a fall and spring "get rid of them" campaign. Be sure to wear "rubber" gloves.

This product works well, we see very little activity going on within the bait stations, and have not seen signs of rodents inside our shop after giving this product time to work. This is our second purchase of this product and we will continue using it.

Fast delivery and great price. Great for a do it yourselfer like me. Less than the cost of two visits from a professional. This product works well and is used by professionals. Be sure to use a bait box to keep other animals safe. Wear gloves.

I own a ranch n this is the best product out in the market to control mices, n rats... I put this all around the barns n my house to keep them away. Very helpful.

Stuff seems to work. Have had it in traps one month and all the edges are chewed off and have hd to replace 2 of the 8 pieces in two outdoor traps. So far no activity inside the house. Asked if this had a shelf life in the contained but did not get an answer yet?

Thank you for your comments! Rodenticides such as Contract Blox are best used within 2 years of purchase and within 1 year of opening the container. Be sure to store rodenticides in a cool, dry place out of reach of pets and children, and with the lid on securely.

I think these probably work fine... as long as the rodents are eating it. Haven't seen any evidence of dying or dead mice or voles yet, but it killed my chocolate labrador. I placed the bait in the plastic housing boxes and locked with key, but my dog chewed through the boxes and got to them. My pest control guy was a bit surprised. He figured it would take 30 of these blocks to put a big dog down. I'm figuring, maybe, our 85lb chocolate lab, got to five of them... maybe. Anyway, please be careful with these around pets. Even the petsafe boxes are not safe.

I was very concerned because, for the first time in 45 years, a nest of rats was established under the stoop of my Brooklyn row house. The Contrac Blox I ordered arrived promptly -- and a "meal" was immediately set out for the unwelcome visitors. Within a week, I was able to remove 3 corpses -- and all activity seems to have ceased. The stuff works!

We have been using Contrac Blox Rodenticide for a year and just purchased a second pail of Blox. We live in the country and this product has done a good job of keeping the ground squirrels and mice away from the house. If we don't have the Blox out the rodents are at the front door, in the garage and under foot.

I found that it wasn't liked as well as some others that I've used. It has been out for over a week and hasn't been touched. There are still signs that the rats are still there. I bought this one cause it was the least harmful to pets.

Definitely slowed down the number of mice that I was seeing during the day. Still have activity on the blocks so maybe it will eliminate them in time.

I've had the bait stations out for a month and the voles are showing no interest and haven't eaten any of it. I called customer service and they suggested smearing peanut butter on the bait blocks and that has drawn interest but they stop eating when they reach the poison blocks.. Not sure what to do at this point.

Your product is succeeding in diminishing in one week the population of wood or pack rats. But the even more welcome results are from inserting your pellets into gopher burrows, and in one week see the activity cease. Your rep was not permitted to recommend this for gophers but you should change that restriction. Thanks, HES

I had used the Contrac before with good results. I switched to Terad to save money due to the larger qty requirement of Contrac. Terrible results from Terad. Switched back to Contrac after my rodent problem got bad again. Instant results. Within days dead rats began to show up. Can't beat it.

My wife and I live on five acres surrounded by hay fields and woods. Rats and mice are everywhere. When we first moved to our home 22 years ago we tried to not use poison but we couldn't keep up with traps. After extensive research we decided to try Contrac Blox Rodenticide. The product is invaluable in keeping rodents at bay. Using Contrac in locked bait stations ensures that it will be safe for pets and children. Our Airedale, Hayley, has never touched the stations. I use Protecta LP Rat bait stations loaded with Contrac around the outside foundation of our house and small barn. I check the stations monthly. No more rat or mice problem. I can't speak highly enough about the product. It works! An 18 pound pail lasts about two years. Ordering from Do My Own Pest Control is quick and easy.

Surprisingly the rats ate these hours after being placed. I guess they were hungry, we removed all other possible food, including compost bin access. 6 dead rats within the week and 1/2. Once poison is placed dont be surprised to see rats out and about during the day! They died soon after they were seen. We dont see any more activity and the dog is slowly losing interest in the rats old hideout inside wall. Problem solved

it works, put several cubes in my garages where there were droppings everywhere. after about 16 cubes disappeared, I found a very large mouse, maybe a rat, under my car, barely breathing. the cubes are no longer being consumed 6 a night. Still being eaten at but can tell the majority are gone. I live next to miles of grassland and the little suckers are plentiful.Price here is the best I could find

i purchased 2 buckets and placed on property and within a short period of time found a ton of rats dead all over. is alot more efficient product than tomcat or Hawk brands

Bought this product because of great reviews. I used the product inside the Protecta Mouse Bait Stations. The Bait stations allowed water inside so that could have been an issue. I will continue to try the blox and maybe try to find a location that allows as little moisture as possible. Currently they are in locations that should not have a great amount of exposure such as under a balcony next to a deck and house. I don't believe the mice took any bait. Snap traps seem to yield me a mouse a day. I even put the stations next to the traps hoping that might work!

I am very pleased with my purchase of Contrac Blox Redenticide. I saved a load of money versus buying small quantities from Lowe's or Home depot and the free shipping was a real selling point. I am perfectly satisfied with my purchase and will buy again from Do My Own PestControl

Perfect size for service trucks. 18 lbs is usually what I purchase but I wanted a smaller container Best bait I have used. Tried all different brands of bait and mice rats always go for Contrac first when different products are placed inside bait stations.

I have use three pails of this product. I find it is very effective. The rodents are attracted too the station. The properties are located in a community and I am sure this product is treating the neighborhood.
